I had not dined at the lodge for over a year, since moving to Florida. However, I really enjoyed the food, etc. after being back in the area and making it a point to go to the restaurant for dinner. I will go again the next time I am back in the area.

This was great. Wonderful atmosphere, great food, great waitress, love this place. We eat here several times a year and are never disappointed. Very good fish, fries , Cole slaw, and the onion soup was great!!!!!

The service was good considering how busy it was and just one waitress. The food was good, although the piece of salmon could have been a little larger. The decorations were beautiful and the ambience very nice. We will definitely be back again!

Food was good, except too salty. There were no greeters when we arrived at the restaurant, so we had to wait a few minutes to be welcomed and seated. The place seemed somewhat deserted, not much life/activity. The view of the lake was okay, but somewhat blocked by the structure of the building. The wait for our food took an hour. Our waitress was excellent.

When we got there might have had 10 tables seated. One was a large group approx. 10 people. Another had 5 or 6 people rest was 2 to 4 at a table. Only had 1 person trying to take care of all of this. Maybe good time for a manager to chip in. Having to flag down to get drink refill. Billie did a great job for all she had to deal with, including bussing tables. Hearing them yell her name from kitchen when food needed taken to table. She got very little help.

Server was great, but had another large group ( we had 8). In my 6pm Sunday reservation I had requested a table with a view of the lake - we were seated farthest away from the lake. The food came out very slowly and the smoked pulled pork was no longer available. The pork chops, burger, fish, salad and burnt ends were good. The two children’s spaghetti was not good. Must have run out of spaghetti sauce. It was very obvious that one had a bright red unflavorful sauce, the other serving had a sauce that was a different color and tasted seasoned. The only sides were all starches (4-5 kinds of potatoes and carrots). I assumed I would get a baked sweet potato, but it looked like canned mashed sweet potato - this should have been made clear on the menu. Why not have a green vegetable or side salad? The quality of the food at the Ohio State parks has been declining, while the prices are high.

Each time we come here, we say the same thing. It looks as if nobody ever takes care of it, and it has such potential. Such a shame. The food is mediocre, service usually good, but the actual space is not kept properly. A broken window for our last 2 visits, overhead lighting that is poor and about to fall down, underutilized huge wall space to hang beautiful taxidermy (think a huge bison), and 4 ridiculously small ceiling fans that couldn’t possibly help circulate air from such a distance. You need a Big Ass Fan up there. There is a great nook above the doorway that looks as if it’s being used to store garbage. Anyway, we do love the whole place, but this particular room and food could be so much better.
