A quaint and enticing winery located right in the heart of Geneva-on-the-Lake. The name, Old Firehouse Winery, summarizes the atmosphere; an eclectic collection of fire paraphernalia and the fact that this was indeed the first Firehouse in Geneva-on-the-Lake. Besides its historic charm, much of the enjoyment in visiting the Old Firehouse is in its setting: the Lake Erie Shoreline.
During the Summer months, the large, meandering patio and gazebo overlooking Lake Erie features a full service menu with dishes ranging from sandwiches to ethnic foods, to Barbecue chicken and ribs. Old Firehouse is known not only for its fine food; almost of the eighteen wines have at one time won medals in statewide competition. Nightly entertainment is featured seven nights throughout the summer.”

Frequently Asked Questions- How much does an igloo cost?
- When you book an igloo, you pay $100 which is the minimum spend. This means that if you spend $125 during your time in the igloo, you only owe $25 since you have already paid first $100.
- How do we book an igloo? Can we call?
- All reservations come through the Table Agent website. We do not do any bookings over the phone or at the winery.
- Is the $100 fee on top of what we buy?
- No! The $100 is a minimum spend. The $100 is taken off your bill and you only owe the balance. If you don't hit the $100 you can always buy wine to go!
- We made and igloo reservation for 4 but need to make it 6. How do we adjust our reservation?
- We take igloo reservations for groups of 2 to 8. If you give us a call at 440-466-9300 we can adjust your reservation for you.
- Are the igloos heated?
- We do have heaters in all the igloos. Depending on the temperature outside, if we had a sunny day, and other factors the temperature in the igloos range from 50 to 70 degrees. We encourage your to dress for the weather.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- The reservations are firm and we cannot refund the deposit. However, if we receive 72 hour notice we are offering a Firehouse Gift card valued at $100 that can be used anytime for anything at Old Firehouse Winery.
- How long do we get the igloo for?
- Igloo reservations are 2-hours long, and you have exclusive use of the igloo for the whole period
- How many people fit in an igloo?
- Igloo reservations are available for groups of 2 to 8 people. Special events may limit the number of guests allowed in a party.
- Every time I plug in a time and day it says nothing available. Am I doing it correctly?
- If there are NO spots available on a particular day it will read "Unfortunately, there are no available tables for (2) people on this day". It is sold out for that day. If there ARE tables the times will appear below IN GREEN.
- Do you sanitize between guests?
- Absolutely! Not only are the tables hand sanitized, a powered fogger is used on all surfaces to ensure complete coverage of the interior.

Our server was great!! The charcuterie board with meat and cheese was disappointing and it’s something I look forward to at a winery. Very little meat, no crackers unless you ask for $15. The appetizer was delicious just expected more from a winery

The igloo dining was a fun experience! The service was fantastic and we were the farthest igloo to get to! We had viewed the menu ahead and the food was what we expected. Came out good temp. The wine was good too. The igloo was a bit chili but not uncomfortable the notes warned us of this. Decorations were beautiful!

Always love going to the Old Firehouse Winery. When visiting Geneva-On-The-Lake having dinner at the Old Firehouse Winery is a must. We love it especially in the summer when they have live entertainment. Our kids always have fun at the winery and on the ferris wheel.

Overall experience was good and would do it again. Waitress was excellent. Only drawback was length of time to get the food. It was an hour from time of putting order in and only a half hour until we had to leave. The wait wouldn't have been such a problem if we had been able to take more time eating.

The igloos are a very fun idea and we enjoyed the experience for our little birthday party. (I was glad it was not a warm day) However, it was very dirty in there. Everything we touched felt sticky and dirty witch made it uncomfortable to eat. There was food and ketchup on the ground from previous users. We arrived early and all the igloos were empty, so not sure how long the food was on the ground. Seems to me that a broom and a long handled dust pan wouldn’t take up too much time between visitors. The ketchup seemed like it was there quite awhile. I realize this is an outside resort restaurant not a fancy restaurant but it’s also not cheap here for food and wine. A little cleaning would have made the experience much better. I’m glad I experienced the igloo but not sure that I would do it again.
