In the heart of Ohio, two friends with restaurant experience and a love for bringing people together with memorable food and beverage began a partnership. They dreamed of an upscale bistro with affordable American fare. Neighbors and friends would find a table they could call their own and always feel welcome.
Chef Todd Uhlir and Jeffrey Finklestein brought their dream to life in their hometown of Troy, Ohio with Basil’s on Market. The name was inspired by the idea of fresh, local ingredients and the restaurant’s Market Street location.

Our reservation got mixed up with someone else’s, so when we arrived our table was not ready and another group was at our table. Other than that we had a good time and our waitress was very nice.
