The overall brunch experience was very positive. The food and service were quite good. Orange certainly needs an establishment like this. The only problem was the serving size. No one in our party of four was able to finish their portion and it felt heavy on the stomach afterwards. Otherwise I will definitely come again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch at Spoon & Spindle! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff enhanced my enjoyment of the delicious Farmers Frittata served in a mini cast iron skillet. Such a clever presentation! I also shared some of the fried green tomatoes appetizer with my friends—just wonderful, as was the fabulous pimento cheese accompaniment!

A refreshing and much needed addition to the Orange foodie scene! Chef Zach and his team created some of the most delicious food north of Charleston. Spoon & Spindle's decor is charming and comforting. Such a cozy spot featuring fabulous fare!

Thanks for the invite to the soft opening. We will be back. The overall experience was great and the following things are just items that we experienced and would have made our visit even better. Both my son and I got Kent’s big breakfast. Over easy eggs cooked perfectly which is hard to find! All good was served at the same time! Bacon was not over cooked! Recommendations. Circle back shortly after meal is served. We did have to wait a little to request the following: salt, ketchup (for taters) , didn’t get pepper with salt. Maybe even ask about ketchup when potatoes are ordered/ served. We know now but definitely tell customers the butter is very sweet. This would be great on toast but not in grits which were also cooked perfectly. Maybe have a regular butter available for grits, it was a surprise after I mixed it in. Staff was very friendly. When is you firm opening? I will bring my wife as soon as it is. Open this weekend??

We will be back because the food is great. And because we really want this venture to be a success. But I'm not going to bullshit you. The acoustics are so bad we could barely carry on a conversation. You need to find a way to soften the hard scape. Also at the table we had the only thing to look at was bare white walls and the door to the restrooms. Personally, we look for places to be warmer and more inviting. Maybe that would be the ambiance at a different table. Your cousin Teri Pace is one of the best designers we know. Suggest you have a consult. Good luck. Sure hope the venture is successful. We'll be back. Marcia Landau

We had reservations, and sadly, we were given a terrible table (2-top) up against a wall, where my husband faced the back door. After we were seated, several other couples came in (without reservations) and were seated at much nicer tables. So, that was disappointing for our first time visit. The food was fairly good, albeit we saw the Scotch Egg delivered to the table next to us, and the woman didn’t look too happy with the presentation nor how tough it was to cut into it. We had the poached eggs, and the Hollandaise sauce was quite bland. As far as ambience, they definitely need artwork as the walls are a stark white, and the acoustics are not the best. Perhaps a few indoor trees to help get beyond the bland floor tile color. Overall, we will probably go back again, but this time, we will call in a reservation to get a better table!
