We are regulars at the Brantwood and the food is always fantastic, service excellent and we leave very satisfied customers. I have to say that this last weekend the food on Sunday was particularly excellent, veg was cooked to perfection and all was served piping hot which makes all the difference. So thank you to Richard and all his team we will see you again soon.

We had family visiting from Canada. The menu didn't have cumberland sausage or dauphinoise potatoes which we were looking forward to, but when we asked the waiter, he very kindly said they would be made available for us... that made our night. The food was amazing, and my family enjoyed every bite... my husband and I live in Eamont Bridge and we have been several times and it's always a place of fine dining to take our guests. Thank you for a fantastic evening.

Enjoyed our meal and meeting up with friends. All was fine. Very good food. Appreciated we could have single fillet of fish. Service was well timed. We will be meeting again in a couple of months at the Brantwood.

Love this place. Never disappoints. We've been coming here for three years as a treat during our holiday in the lakes (and once en route to Scotland). Very unusual to have a home-made pie with shortcrust pastry on the menu and at the Brantwood it tastes phenomenal. Also like how - on a Sunday and at other times - vegetables are served seperately in a dish avoiding the "how much can you cram on a plate" problem. There are also several very tasty home-made desserts on the menu which we feel are great value. I'd like to see a slightly wider range of fresh vegetables with the mains and, for example, fresh home made mint sauce with the lamb. But that's being picky... really you can't go wrong here.

We booked for three for lunch. Food and service were both good. Salmon was very nice. Nice to be able to have half portions of puddings. Dauphanase potatoes were a bit runny but everything else ok. Nice friendly staff.

We needed somehow to stay for a night on the way to Isle of Bute. Last time we stayed at pemier inn, wanted something a bit nicer. Well found the Brantwood which was just perfect everything we needed in a village very close to the M6. The food was also excellent. We will definitely be back on our return visits to see my Daughter on the isle Bute, which is a long drive from our home.

Really lovely lunch, however our main meal was served nice and hot but then we had to wait around five minutes or more for the vegetables and chips to arrive. This was the only problem of the day. Lovely staff and lovely restaurant.

We all thought the food was excellent as was the service, each member of staff we talked to for whatever reason was charming and helpful. The maitre d even explained to me what the little blue shoe was in the gents. My only suggestions for improvement would be a one way system for the car park and a sign at the front indicating where the main entrance is. All in all a very enjoyable Sunday lunch and as the great man (sort of) said, “we’ll be back “. 10/10.

I've never disappointed when I visit Brantwood to eat. The food is always good and the staff friendly and helpful. The ambience is also relaxed. I only marked it down slightly on service due to a wait as they were short staffed but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

Thank you for the excellent service and good food. I had to ask for the radiator in our room to be turned on when we arrived before 5pm. The young man at the bar did that for us. The next morning a couple we spoke to the previous evening told us their room was cold. I told them I had to ask for the radiator to be turned on. The bathroom one was on. Given the freezing temperatures it would have been better to have the heating on when we arrived.

Unfortunately 3 things not available, Chardonnay, turkey and custard but all dealt with well by young waiter. Greatly appreciated half portions of pudding. Service on plates a bit messy, drips on dishes should have been wiped off. But overall thoroughly enjoyed our meal
