We loved the whole afternoon. A lovely cosy setting and we were made very welcome. The service and staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was gorgeous.
Our teas were amazing and my husband said they were the best desserts he had tasted.

An outstanding afternoon tea. The setting, atmosphere, friendly and welcoming (but not intrusive) staff all made for a wonderful experience… and then there’s the food. Every course (yes there are several courses to this!) was delicious. This was by far the tastiest afternoon tea we’ve ever had. We had a great experience and enjoyed every part of it. There are afternoon teas in many establishments but then there is the Cedar Manor Afternoon Tea. What a superb presentation in such a delightful historic building overlooking a gorgeous garden with its own bee hives. This was a shear delight with such a variety of dishes and spreads. We recently visited cedar manor and from the moment we stepped in the door we knew we were in for something special....we were greeted warmly and offered a choice of seats in both tea room and lounge....we took the latter and were given a pair of facing sofas in a beautifully presented lounge area...
We were celebrating my partners 50th and couldn’t have asked for more...from the endless choice of teas from around the world to the absolutely beautifully prepared food offering, we were in our element.....
I have a real sweet tooth but my absolute favourite were some gruyere profiteroles served with sweet chilli dressing as an entree...melt in your mouth...
...and I never could imagine a cucumber sandwich having as much taste as it did...
Absolutely nothing to fault....fantastic experience...

The owners cannot do enough for you and are attentive and friendly, really lovely people. The place itself is beautiful, we were there for over two hours just having the best time. Food, service, value for money, all perfect. Caroline is really lovely, very friendly and helpful. Only minor issue which took almost nothing away from the whole experience, was the music playing which was just generic instrumental, when an actual song came on it only played for about 10 seconds before going back to random sounds. A lovely afternoon tea, one of the best we have had anywhere. The food was delicious, especially the fish and chip taster and the lemon meringue tart. The scones would have been perfect but for my taste needed to be more crisp on the outside other than that it was perfect. The service was excellent and the setting is peaceful and lovely, we will certainly return.

We had an incredible four nights at the Cedar Manor and was just what the doctor ordered after a very difficult 18 months! The hosts were a delightful mixture of being attentive and entertaining and nothing was too much trouble. They showed a genuine interest in us and our experiences. The food throughout was faultless as were the high standards of cleanliness and relaxing surroundings. We thought that we really got value for money and so much more.
We had afternoon tea there (I have had a few in my time) and it was by far superior to any that I've had. Everything was simply perfect.
We will definitely be back and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who asks! Thank you so much, Cedar Manor.

My wife and I had never done afternoon tea before and we decided this would be the last thing we did before heading home after our 3 day break.
It was a great experience, the owners were very pleasant and helpful.
In the 2 hours we were there we felt stuffed afterwards.
The food was great, even in small amounts and there was a wide choice of different teas to drink.
This is definately a place you should try.
