One of the best pubs we’ve ever been in if not the best. We went 2 nights in a row! Amazing service from every single member of staff, delicious food (would highly recommend the ham and eggs) and lovely atmosphere. Had a few games of pool and we were even offered a lift home as we were staying in the area and it was a 40 minute walk back in the pitch black. Wonderful place and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

Staff were lovely and friendly, food was amazing and delicious and very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere. Great location. Pool table, darts board and lots of games to choose from.
Really nice touches, like blankets to get cosy under, we did not need these as it was a lovely warm night.

I have to say that we had the most lovely visit to The King's Head
It's such a cosy and welcoming place, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive
The portions are large and we certainly only just had room for a lovely dessert (I had the Chef's home-made apple and rhubarb crumble, it was heaven)

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was ok…. Not sure we could tell much difference between the fries and chips?! The platter was very well presented and in the main it was good, but the egg in the scotch egg was over boiled and the bread didn’t seem very fresh.

We enjoyed the steak and ale pie and the chicken kebab. The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere inside the hotel is very relaxing and friendly. Would definitely visit again especially when able to sit outside and enjoy the riverside setting. Slightly wider menu would be appreciated, eg more fish or salad dishes but overall very good experience.

The WIFI was difficult to connect to
Only had net curtains in the bedroom
The plug in the bath didn't fit well, so water leaked out
On the positive side, the room was spacious and pleasant with a good view towards the church. The personal note and fresh milk was a nice touch

Everything excellent except long wait for service at dinner - 15 mins to be offered a menu and 40 mins before meal arrived. Accept staff shortages to blame but it was disappointing. Room was excellent, all staff friendly and helpful, great to see the pub busy and looking good.

Ik had een scampi slaatje als voorgerecht.
De scampi's werden rauw gereserveerd! Na een opmerking kreeg ik een nieuw bord aangeboden.
Het hadden scampi's met look en Chili moeten zijn, ik kreeg echter een weinig smaakvolle coctailsaus. Dit gerecht moet zeker terug herbekeken worden door de chef!
De pie met beef and ale die we kregen was goed.
