Providing a vibrant space adorned with eclectic handmade accessories imported directly from San Miguel de Allende, Café San Miguel pays tribute to authentic Mexican cuisine with a menu that highlights otherwise hard to find dishes. Mole, a time consuming and complicated sauce, is featured prominently in dishes, while the Enfrijoladas de Cangrejo, consisting of home-made corn tortillas bathed in a black bean and tomato puree, and layered with jumbo lump crab, is an education in delectable indigenous flavors. Fine cocktails and margaritas are also presented, and Antigua Cruz Tequila is featured as a must-try.

Although now defunct, Angela's Bistro was one of Dallas's quaint hot spots. Featuring a lush atmosphere with wood floors, cozy lighting, and modernist art work, patrons could feel perfectly at home as if they were in their own kitchen. While being soothed by classical and jazz selections, the food almost looks home-made and ranges from crab cakes, to cooked scallops, and usually ends with a chocolate pecan-crusted dessert. May Angela’s rest in peace.
