Our food is not just a meal; it’s a taste of Afghan culture. Menu items include Afghan novelties such as Mantoo, Qabili Palao, and Sabzi Chalao. We are also known for our grilled kabobs. Each plate is made with exotic spices and served fresh. Dine at Nora and discover a cuisine you never knew you were craving.
Delicious food and attentive service!
Great food and a beautiful restaurant!! Service was excellent! I would suggest adding a fish dish to the menu. The spicy stews would go well with a nice white flaky fish like snapper or redfish. We definitely be going back!
We really enjoyed everything about our experience. The flavors and spices were unique. With each new taste we found something to like: crispy, spicy, comforting...delicious. Service was excellent and helpful. We are looking forward to returning!
We had dinner on the patio. They turned the heater off for us, it was a bit warm. They made excellent suggestions on cocktails and food. Attentive but not intrusive service. Fun wine and food. Would definitely go back for that fun spice combinations.
Excellent! Food was superb!
Food was excellent, service was great!!! Definitely will be going again!
Thoroughly enjoyed eating at Nora's. Social distancing measures were in place and although we preferred to eat on the patio, (we preferred to be seated without waiting for patio seating, somehow my reservation was deleted) but the dining room was great. The grilled lamb tekka was OMG and the ambiance was just right. It was the perfect place for a double date night.
We had a delicious dinner! The service was fantastic.
My entire visit to Nora Restaurant & Bar was a very positive experience. The food, the drinks, the service and everything was amazing. Thank you.
The two lamb dishes we had were excellent...so flavorful and well presented. Our waitress was observant, discreet, and attentive, and we enjoyed conversation with her. The restaurant was uncrowded and very clean. The only (slight) negative is that with the highly sound-reflective surfaces, noisy guests can be annoying but that just seems to be the way it goes sometimes and is not the fault of the restaurant. I look forward to many return visits! The wine list had a small but decent selection and reasonable pricing. Overall, it was a great meal.
I never get tired of the quality and freshness of the food here!!! The Best!!
Omg the food and service exceeded our expectations . I had never tasted Afghan food. We WILL be back
Nora is our favorite restaurant and we are so thankful it’s open again! The food is always great and the service is very personable. Dining outside this past weekend was fabulous as well!
We love Nora! Always a great experience.
Friendly, accommodating, expert, DELICIOUS.
We sadly did not get to eat here. We really wanted to and still plan to try again. We made the reservation the day before drove all the way from Richardson to find out the restaurant is now closed on Tuesdays. This was not on the website, and I was able to make a reservation.
The food is incredible however the services was a bit bad. We think the server was new however this is a restaurant you need the food explained to you and she was unable to do this. Luckily we had eaten there before however our friends hadn't so they had a lot of questions. We are pretty sure one dish given to us was wrong but we ate it and it was delicious!
New server Mary was better than her trainer Alissa (Alicia?). Dumplings OK, butternut squash great, chocolate cake was terrific. I’ve already recommended Nora to 3 people. I’ll soon be a regular, I’m quite sure.
Food was wonderful. Best chicken meatballs ever. Super cute place and wait staff were very nice.
Great food. Service was slow and not comprehensive
The dumplings were cold on the Texan drink it was to water down.
Our experience at Nora was nice. The service outdoors was excellent and attentive. The food was good but not great and a bit overpriced. However, due to the pandemic, I can understand the pricing. Our favorite dish was the Qabili Palao and the Aushak.
The food and drinks at noras are always great I consistently enjoy my meals there One odd thing on this past Saturday nights visit- toward the end of our meal, the servers opened up the sliding patio doors near us and began to break down the settings on the patio tables Keep in mind it was mid 30s outside and we were maybe 15 feet from what was now a gaping hole in the restaurant Needless to say, we bundled up and made a hasty exit I stopped on the way out to suggest they give that further consideration in the future but my suggestion was clearly not welcomed It wasn’t even close to closing Something to consider if you choose to visit
Beautiful ambiance unfortunately even though we were inside bc they had the partition open we got eaten up by mosquitoes. Our waitress brought us bug spray to help which helped out. Aa far quality goes everything we had was of quality except for the bread. It was just the store bought pita bread which was very disappointing considering this is supposed to be a nice upper end of afghan food. Was hoping for more a delicious authentic Afghan bread. My only other complaint was that our food especially the rice was not hot. There is noting more disappointing than warm to simply room temperature food. Our rice should come out at a temperature that butter would melt if it was to be placed on top of it. I will give it another try hopefully it was just a bad day for them.
