$ American Recommended New

Enjoy the talents of our students as they train to become chefs or hospitality professionals in Six Ninety One, the student-run restaurant. Named for the highway where Grayson College's Main Campus is located, "Six Ninety One" is a unique dining experience for the patron and the students who run the facility. Student chefs select a menu based on what skills are being taught that week, and student wait staff hone their fine dining serving skills while the guests enjoy a fine dining meal at a very reasonable price.

Loved our lunch! Can't wait to come again. So glad you offer this! Because you asked, and I know y'all want to keep learning how to be the best: It seemed like the creme brulee was missing sugar The tenderloin was over cooked; requested medium. Scallops were so yummy!

The food was wonderful. I don't know how, with the price of filet being what it is, that the paltry price of $15 per meal even covered the cost of the meat (and it was a generous portion) let alone the accompaniments. I had the scallops and they were also first rate. My wife and I are still hesitant to eat out, and our request for take-out was immediately honored, a win-win since we could then have a glass of wine with our meal in the comfort of our home. (It helps to live only 5 minutes from the restaurant.) We wish the program and the future chefs it is training all the best for the future.

***I know students want feedback that will lead to improvement. This review reflects that. Overall experience was good*** Caesar salad left a little to be desired. Wait staff could have been more attentive to water and drink refills

Overall the experience was great. I loved the salad and the burger. I also enjoyed the creme brulee. There was a bit of a hiccup with my not knowing that there were strawberries on the dessert, but I was pretty full already, and the part that I did eat was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and highly personable. The only issue I had service wise was that my waiter forgot to remove the dishes and silverware as the meal progressed. No big complaints though. Just teaching moments!!
