Taste Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit established simply to feed people one community at a time. One of every six Americans faces the reality that they may not be able to provide for their next meal. There are programs in place that help; however, in Tarrant County, 36 percent of this food insecure population live above the poverty level and receive no government help. Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so they may “…taste and see the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8. We believe everyone should have access to healthy nutritional food. Our vision is to see our community become the solution to the challenges our community faces as it relates to hunger. Our first project, a non-profit restaurant, focuses on healthy, quality meals made from fresh ingredients. Our menu has no prices. This is a give and take concept. We ask guests to do one of the following: 1) pay what you can afford. 2) pay what you would typically pay. 3) pay what you would typically pay, plus a little extra.

Wonderful volunteers, cause, and concept. I believe we just ordered the wrong things. The wife had a yudon and beef noodle bowl and it was way too salty. The noodles the meat all of it. I had chilaquiles and the sauce was not my thing and the eggs were not even sunny side up and I ordered over medium. I’ll still with chilaquiles at Mexican restaurants.

Rather noisy because of the hard floors, but that's to be expected, so it's not a deal breaker. The service, food, and mission to the local folks is outstanding. Kudos to the owners, all the workers (paid AND volunteers!), and the city for supporting such a venture! And the underlying Christian messaging is MUCH appreciated! So rare in a business environment these days!

I really love the concept of Taste Community Kitchen. My mom and dad became unemployed and right after my dad's grandmother passed away. Their only Money got us to Fort Worth. While here, we visited Taste Kitchen all week for our daily meal. It was nice and inviting. One volunteer even remembered my name! We were able to have an awesome lunch and one day an incredible breakfast! Thanks to you y'all, my siblings and I didn't go hungry during our trip. My parents were excited to see that they could pay what they could afford. I believe that concept was better than the meal! We are a very grateful family. Thank you Taste Kitchen

Portions were smaller than expected. Requested a side salad due to my father's restricted diet, the server said they couldn't add one, but my order came with an arugula citrus salad... go figure. The scrambled eggs were a bit gooey and my children didn't eat them. The omelette could have had veggies to make it more filling.

This was my first time to Taste and it won't be the last! Loved everything about the restaurant. Donna was our waiter and shared good info about the concept and the history of Taste. What an amazing, welcoming, beautiful place! The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned! The chicken in the pomegranate chicken was sl dry.
We brought a friend who hadn’t been there for his bday lunch. He was Very impressed & im sure he will bring his special other ( and his son too who is a 5yr old vegetarian!! ) there to eat.
We Love getting to come there.

The food is so delicious. The folks there are so very kind, it’s a draw you in atmosphere. Everything is clean and the ambiance is spectacular. I’m so very grateful and thankful for Taste Community Restaurant. I’m currently in a hard season, they help me to keep my heart and mind more focused on tasting and seeing that the Lord is indeed oh so very good. Thank y’all for loving people EXACTLY like they are. Rev. Jim Love is so very kind and caring. He is a wonderful addition to an already stellar team. The secret ingredient is LOVE.
