Taste Community Restaurant - Fort Worth. The Taste Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit established simply to feed people one community at a time. One of every six Americans faces the reality that they may not be able to provide for their next meal. There are programs in place that help; however, in Tarrant County, 36 percent of this food insecure population live above the poverty level and receive no government help. Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so they may “…taste and see the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8. We believe everyone should have access to healthy nutritional food. Our vision is to see our community become the solution to the challenges our community faces as it relates to hunger. Our first project, a non-profit restaurant, focuses on healthy, quality meals made from fresh ingredients. Our menu has no prices. This is a give and take concept. We ask guests to do one of the following: 1) pay what you can afford. 2) pay what you would typically pay. 3) pay what you would typically pay, plus a little extra to help a neighbor in need.

The food seemed a bit off. This was on Thursday, 3/27/25. The chicken with arugula, parmesan on top was overcooked and dry. The tea was weak. The food is usually spot on. It doesn't matter since we are supporting you no matter. I wanted you to know though, just as a reference. The onion burger was a bit overcooked also. Bottom line, we love what you do!!!!!

Chicken farro soup was rather salt. You can always add salt but cannot take it out. Please be careful with it.
Small plates aren’t very small. I’ll ask next time.

The food was clever, delicious and perfectly portioned. We LOVED IT! My guests couldn't believe you would serve mussels and they would be so generous and yummy. What a treat! Great experience. I liked that as a single diner there was no hesitation at seating me at the long table with other patrons. Service was great. Food was great - appreciated the recommendation from my server. I was pleased to see the coffee bar - didn't know about that - good option for desert and coffee (?). I was prepared to participate in "match day in march" which was prominently featured as i walked in. I could not easily find it on your website (?). I sent an email for more info. Seeing QR codes on on other displays made me think that perhaps that's a path for you for special donation events or giving on the spot. Again great experience and I look forward to spending time with you again.

I cannot think of any restaurant experience I enjoy more than Taste Community Restaurant in Ft. Worth. The food and presentation are worthy of a gourmet restaurant on many dishes (and this is NOT an exaggeration). The only thing Taste could conceivably do better is spread their success outside Ft. Worth by opening an Arlington location -- which I understand is happening very soon!

It was fabulous and so welcome that I could bring a friend who because she doesn't have much but lots of pride, can not socialize for a dinner or breakfast outting. This was my first visit to Taste Community restaurant, but it won't be my last! The staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing and upbeat, and the food was scrumptious! The portions on the main plates are quite generous and since I ordered a cup of soup as well, I had a bit of a challenge finishing my main course. Some plates are offered, however, so I may order the smaller portion next time. Very enthused about this treasure!

It was pleasantly surprising. We had never been before. The ambiance was wonderful, food was delicious and everyone was friendly. Restaurant was clean and bright, cheerful. Will definitely go back!

As always, the staff made our family feel so welcome and wanted!! The hostess even found a toy to give my son since we were there for his 9th birthday!! We couldn’t afford any toys this year, so it meant the world to him to get a toy for his birthday!!! He is still sleeping with it!!! Thank you so much to all of Taste for everything you all do!!!

We had some confusion about the pre-payment for making a reservation - we paid $40 a person in advance of eating to make the reservation but wished we could have paid at the restaurant.

Great experience for both my friend — who was a first-time guest — and me, a long-time fan!!! We both wanted the burger & the tuna. So we split a serving of each. Delish! Love you all very much and appreciate the worl you do. Looking forward to Arlington location opening. My wife and I come monthly. I brought nephews with me this visit and was told there is a policy that all children under 12 must order from the kids menu. I don't mind this policy as the one 12 year old I had could not finish his regular menu item and had some help from the younger child. So this is probably a good policy.
