Taste Community Restaurant - Fort Worth. The Taste Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit established simply to feed people one community at a time. One of every six Americans faces the reality that they may not be able to provide for their next meal. There are programs in place that help; however, in Tarrant County, 36 percent of this food insecure population live above the poverty level and receive no government help. Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so they may “…taste and see the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8. We believe everyone should have access to healthy nutritional food. Our vision is to see our community become the solution to the challenges our community faces as it relates to hunger. Our first project, a non-profit restaurant, focuses on healthy, quality meals made from fresh ingredients. Our menu has no prices. This is a give and take concept. We ask guests to do one of the following: 1) pay what you can afford. 2) pay what you would typically pay. 3) pay what you would typically pay, plus a little extra to help a neighbor in need.

I have been to taste on several occasions and always love dining here both in Fort Worth and Arlington. My staff and interns also come on a regular as well. The atmosphere is great. Today unfortunately my experience was not a good one with the waitress Karen. Very rude and unprofessional. It was obvious she had some displaced frustration and anger. Please provide her more training and how to address customers in a more professional manner. Everyone else was phenomenal as usual. Me and my family love this place always great service , food , and such a warming environment. It’s imperative that Karen understand her demeanor, tone, and how she responds to customers will impact them tremendously. Luckily I was a customer that understands displaced anger, and at times individuals struggle with respect, empathy , and professionalism. Again please train her on these things. No customer should have to experience this when coming in to such a wonderful establishment.

We loved absolutely everything about Taste Community! Our server, Allison, was so informative and attentive to the three of us. The salmon was divine and the chicken salad was delicious. Our other menu item was the burrito bowl and there was not a crumb remaining in that bowl at the end. We didn’t stop there though. Dessert was next. Two of us had the pannacotta, while the other had the carrot cake. Once again, no crumbs were left behind.

The food and meal experience was so outstanding. I had the celery root and green apple soup and the butter chicken as the entrée. I didn't like how they made the homeless wait outside when we came in especially since it was cold outside . they said it was reservations first but could have at least let them wait inside and when they did let them in it took a long time for them to get waited on. It's very generous and appreciative but Jesus would have done it the other way around so it made me sad for them and I felt uncomfortable eating in front of them like we were first class and they were back of the line even though there were empty tables

Everything was seamlessly perfect. The atmosphere radiated peace and gratitude, beautifully decorated yet never ostentatious—simple, elegant, and deeply inviting. The food? Nothing short of heavenly. Each dish was impeccably delicious, prepared with love and masterful skill, and presented with such artistry that it felt like a gift set before us. Flavors danced in perfect harmony, portions were generous, and every bite reminded me of the abundant care poured into this meal.
The service was exemplary—attentive without hovering, gracious without pretense, and delivered with smiles that clearly came from the heart. Every time I visit Taste Community Restaurant, I'm more impressed than the last. The food is consistently exceptional, and the presentation is nothing short of remarkable. It's delightfully casual, yet patrons arrive nicely dressed, infusing the space with a friendly, welcoming vibe. I've even observed families with children who are invariably well-behaved and utterly charming— a refreshing contrast to the rowdy little ones that can disrupt so many other eateries. Not once have I witnessed such a scene here. There's an undeniable magic to this place—beautiful in every way!

I brought 5 friends for their first visit to Taste Project. I get this is volunteer service, but everything is slow and servers are inattentive. The food absoluetly spectacular, ambiance chef kiss, but the servers it feels like they are just on court order voluntoldism or have literally never been in a resteraunt before. My wife and I had a great experience at Taste Project. The food was delicious and well prepared. We appreciate the Christian music that was playing. Our waitress Jaylen was excellent and we appreciate her boldness and praying for us as we prayed for her. We are thankful for this organization that is ministering the love of God in so many ways by giving people a second chance at life. Everything has a spirit of excellence. Looking forward to our next visit.

I love Taste and have eaten here several times. However, yesterday, my meal (stacked enchiladas) was lukewarm, not hot. However, there were a large number of patrons there, so I'm sure the kitchen staff had a lot to deal with.

The food, Drunken Noodles & Grilled Vegetable Panini, was delicious! The portions were just right. The desserts, Churros and pound cake with fruit, (didn't see them listed on the menu) were a pleasant surprise and also delicious. The volunteer wait staff was friendly and attentive. It was a wonderful dining experience that I look forward to repeating in the future.

We were greeted with smiles, and your wait staff was amazing. We loved the Migas for breakfast-it was delicious-one of the best I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly. The presentation of the food was exquisite and tasted amazing. We will back.

Taste is my all-time favorite restaurant in DFW. I tell "newbies" that Taste does not serve "food" but rather "cusine". And, the mission in the community is beyond reproach.
The only issue ever, is that sometimes ambient sound is quite loud, however, that is due to the structure and style of the building. It simply can't be helped.

This was my first time at Taste. I loved the opportunity to sit at the table and talk with my niece as we waited for our food. It was a nice pace, and I did not feel rushed or that the environment was too loud.. The food was delicious. Our server, Isaac was attentive as well. On our way out, we were able to walk through the raised bed gardens and see where many of the fresh herbs and vegetables were grown.

It was a great experience. Have the menu state "no substitutions allowed" explaing why no allowed. Encourage servers/waitstaff to be more timely in refills. Extra items, etc. Nola, a first-time volunteer was great!
