You can have a good dinner, a great dinner, a very great dinner...but at OHMU, you have a truly wonderful dinner. I've never had such magnificently delicious sushi as at OHMU. Heaven ON EARTH. And also exceptionally good, friendly, and hospitable.

The ladies working there are lovely. Warm, passionate, you can tell they genuinely care about the food they serve. That energy matters, and it shows. But the space doesn't match that warmth. OHMU feels too big for what it is. Two other tables on a Wednesday evening, and the room still felt empty. A smaller, more intimate setting would suit the concept much better. What I missed most was connection. The servers serve, and that's it. No questions, no interaction, no reading the table. And I think that's where the evening started to fall apart for me. I came with my 4-year-old son. We arrived just before 18:00. We left around 19:30, with food in a takeaway bag, because it got too late for him. We ordered edamame, shrimp tempura, deluxe sashimi, volcano and softshell mango. All good choices, in theory. Here's where I want to be honest with myself too: maybe I should have mentioned I was coming with a young child. Maybe I should have asked which dishes were spicy, or requested the wasabi on the side. Some of that is on me. But I also believe that good hospitality meets you halfway. A server who notices a 4-year-old at the table might think to ask. Might check in on timing. Might make it feel like we were seen, not just served. Especially on a quiet Wednesday evening with only two other tables. OHMU positions itself as a fusion sushi spot with craft cocktails. That tells you something about who they have in mind. Looking back, I think the mismatch started before we even walked in. Not a criticism, just worth knowing before you book. OHMU might simply not be built for young families. And that's okay.

Sushi was echt heel goed! Jammer dat er geen zoetigheid/deser/koffie was om af te sluiten .. Leuke tent!
