Having already completed a 5* review on tripadvisor, it would be remiss if I didn't follow up here, the setting was lovely, staff were exceptionally friendly and the food defeated me, I have a large appetite at the best of times, but I felt guilty for leaving anything on my plate. (The Mushroom Ciabatta starter is to Die for)

The Spotted Cow is lovely. Our servers were very friendly, the burger me and my partner had was slightly overdone but that wasn’t really an issue as it was still very tasty. Overall it was a lovely experience and we can’t wait to visit again ☺️

Was a little disappointed when my chicken roast dinner arrived. It looked a little sad on the plate ( chicken breast, roasted parsnip & roast potatoes) lacking colour
BUT
then the veg arrived, a colourful bonanza cooked freshly for me ( no hanging about going soft)
A fabulous roast dinner experience with lashings of gravy. Just like eating Granny’s roast dinner.
The plum crumble was amazing!

We thought the food was lovely and service great but wine was dreadful.
We couldn’t drink half the bottle, therefore, took home to cook with. We love a glass of wine with dinner too, what a shame as we would come back if you put more quality wines on menu.

Nice pleasant waitress - Doors had to be open due to present restrictions but it was a bit chilly as we were seated near to the door and opposite the men’s toilets which also had the door open - good food
