As usual a great meal in a lovely atmosphere. We have been to Furzeleigh on a number of occasions, each time the food has been superb and the service has been excellent. It's a really enjoyable experience that's very good value.

Furzeleigh Mill has an amazing chef, backed up by first class front of house. For dinner, my wife had hake, which was delicious (nice thick piece, cooked to perfection). I had the wild mushroom pasta, which was just perfect. The whole team are amazing and really go the extra mile. Cooked breakfast was fabulous too.

The hotel has been beautifully renovated to keep the original features. We had excellent service and very good food. Sadly, as we'd had a long tiring day, we could only manage a main course, but would definitely visit again when next in the area. Would recommend for food and would expect the accommodation to be of a high standard too, (we were staying elsewhere).

We really enjoyed the whole experience, perfect for my birthday. The food was delicious and well presented. Why 9 for food - not enough choice on the dessert menu also not enough portions left. I loved the Gin Menu, having at least my choice available made it memorable.

Thank you for a lovely evening for my mum’s birthday. We all had a lovely time. The food was lovely as was the company. The staff were attentive but not over the top. My only criticism was that not everyone could have their first choice of meals as you had ran out, however we did all enjoy what we did have. Thank you again for a lovely evening.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at Furzeleigh Mill. The size of the roast dinner was just right as we wanted to make room for the delicious trifle to follow. Although short-staffed we did not have to wait overly long. Due to the beautiful weather, it would have been nice to sit in the garden to enjoy a drink/coffee after our meal but all the tables were reserved. If there had been a time of arrival on the table we may have had a chance to sit down and be gone by the time the table was needed.

Great food in a lovely setting. Furzeleigh Mill restaurant is a small and intimate setting in a beautifully converted mill. There is a small menu, but the food was beautifully prepared and cooked, with nice attention to detail. There's obviously a great chef in the kitchen who cares about the food. Fine dining without ostentation. The restaurant has a small and reasonably priced wine list, alongside a huge selection of Gins. Service was a a little slow, but it's a small establishment, and staff were friendly and responsive.

Went for Sunday lunch with my husband. We haven’t been there for ages. We got a nice welcome and good service. The food was delicious we both had roast beef. Too much to have starter or desert so can’t comment on these but a good choice if required and what we saw going to others looked very good. My husband had an ale and I had wine both of which were great. It really was a shame that it was really quiet as based on our visit we will be going again very soon and have also spoken to friends about our booking and they too will consider it when they are going out for food. Was really pleased that our booking was there as only booked the night before through table agent something I’ve not used before so that was good.

We created the extra sides options due to customers asking to swap fries for different things contanstly, our portions of fries are £4, if you asked for the parmesan fries they would have been £6. Due to current climbs we have had to adjust our pricing accordingly, all our produce is fresh, local and organic. We will take your feedback onboard and look forward to welcoming you back.

Really enjoyed our sunday lunch served by the friendly ladies - just a couple of points that i hope you will find useful rather than critical. The cauliflower cheese seemed to have been sitting for a while so that sauce was sticky and no "bite" to cauli and the roast potatoes seemed to have been deepfried ??

Beautiful hotel and grounds, everywhere clean, bathroom gorgeous! Room quite small (Mill Leat, not the compact room) so didn't really need the bureau and stool it got in the way. Food was sublime, with complimentary amuse bouche AND canapes! I was almost full before ordering so wish I'd realised beforehand you had to order 2 courses, I really only wanted a main. Expensive, but great as a one-off.

Exceptional quality of food, the chef has created a extremely well balanced menu showing of the quality of the produce used. The food here equaled some of the Michelin starred restaurants I have dined in. The waiting on staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. With the quality of the food and service the limited car parking space maybe a issue. I would certainly dine here again.

We had a lovely welcome, the staff were friendly and helpful, the menu was explained well and our orders taken and brought in good time. The food was fresh and very good quality. We felt the crayfish and avocado salad that three of us had was a bit on the small side for the price. The feel of the place was a bit more formal than the more pub / relaxed sort of atmosphere we are used to. Overall, a very smart restaurant in a lovely, and easy to get to location with good food and great service, thank you.

Simply put,I booked an evening meal and arrived on time,but the service was not the best,far too slow with the amount of people sat eating and it looked as if everybody was in the same predicament.Of the two staff on waiting duties the younger member seemed pre occupied.I will not fault the food,it was well presented and good quality but in my opinion a three course meal can be served up within 1 hour and that is great service,in fact on the previous evening in another very close establishment that was achieved and my bill paid up in forty five minutes with far more customers in on this particular night,so fluent service is all that is needed.
