Love the Katsu chicken curry.
The only thing I noticed this time was the price hike on the desserts. They seem to have gone up exponentially so that they are now approximately 1/2 the price of a main course.

We love Lush and use Lush for special occasions.
This last visit 19.2.24 was wonderful as always though l do have a couple of points l'd like to raise.
I ordered soup as a main which was delicious but the bread had been left out too long and was more like toast, disappointing.
Lush was particularly busy and we did have quite a wait, over 40 minutes although when questioned a staff member said it was half an hour.
We ordered at 6:15pm and we didnt receive our food until 7pm, we booked at 6pm as we had an appointment at 8:15pm.
One last point l'd like to raise, the chairs, l do have a back condition but l find them incredibly uncomfortable and after an hour or so they cause me pain.
What we love:
The generous portions of gorgeous and beautifully cooked quality food.
The lovely, friendly and welcoming staff.
The lighting.
Kitchen on show.
The ambience.
The visual element of the food is a gastronomic delight.

This was an Anniversary treat we had a first class Sunday roast with a complimentary glass of presecco as it was our 28th Anniversary, which was a lovely touch. This I couldn't fault if there was anything I would say some of the prices have gone up and as well as going up you are not getting chips inc as have been inc before eg salad dishes.

This was the first time we came here, looking for nice restaurants without having to go outside of Barnstaple. It was my daughters 18th, so wanted her to have that grown up vibe! All the staff so friendly, the food was amazing and although the proces are higher than I would normally be used to paying, the food very much reflects the proce, quality is amazing. We had the roast and it was delicious. Cauliflower cheese was the nicest and also usually I find nut roast a bit dry but yours wasn't dry at all and was delicious! Brilliant service, great mocktails and lovely ambiance. I'd love it if there were more mocktails/alcohol free wine options but appreciate that's not always in high demand.

First time eating here and will definitely be back again, the restaurant is beautiful, the food amazing, all staff very helpful, the arrangement of the tables makes it feel like private dining. The luxury expresso martini's were the best I have ever had!!!!

A little pricey, but couldn't fault the food service or venue. We have been before and enjoyed it then too. Would definitely return if we were in the area. We are on holiday so don't live locally. A holiday treat!
