There was a good selection of meals on the menu. The meal was hot and delicious. However service was slow, but it was cooked fresh. the staff were friendly and helpful. This was our third visit and we will be coming again

Service was second to none, couldn’t be better. The food was very disappointing, dried out chips and the scampi was pre formed from a bulk freezer bag! The portions were not excessive either. I’m afraid I won’t be recommending the food.

Hi Terry, we are a little confused by a few of your comments here as you said everything was ok with your meals. You mention the portion sizes yet you elected for 2 meals for £14 which are specifically smaller portions for smaller appetites but is considered a standard portion size. The lady very much enjoyed the Scampi which was soon gone and yes it does come in frozen and is deep fried as Scampi is with 99% of pub kitchens. If you had let us know your disappointment when you were asked instead of saying how lovely everything was then we could have made your life a little bit better.

I absolutely loved eating here! We held a small birthday meal for my dad here and the food was so nice and super quick. The staff were really friendly and attentive and they even when out there way to set up our table with party poppers. We will definitely be coming back and we’ve already booked our Christmas meal here! 10/10

We attended the Brook Inn for mine and my daughter’s birthdays on 27th August. The staff had gone to so much trouble putting balloons up fresh flowers on the table and also a little gift for us . The service and food was excellent , nothing was too much trouble . We will definitely visit again .

We went there for the first time to celebrate hubby's 60th birthday, and I can honestly say , it was the best night , the menu wasn't very big , but everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, even the grandson aged 3 loved it and he can be very fussy , a big shout out to the young lady who took our order and ran around after us she was so lovely , considering it was her second shift and we are a gobby lot , the guy training her (apologies for not getting names) was brilliant, he couldn't do enough to make us comfortable, overall the evening from start to finish was excellent, we absolutely will be trying there Sunday lunch , or just stopping off on a warm day for a glass of something cold .

Perfectly acceptable on every front, decent sized portions and reasonably priced. Only one small draw back, no-one came to clear our plates after, so we sat there for a further half an hour after we had finished before we realised you had to pay at the till, rather than waiting for a bill! But, now I know, I am sure I will visit again.

Unfortunately meat was luke warm, and vegetable bar could be longer a bit squeezed up. No carrot and suede mash as advertised. Roast potatoes needed a sharper knife. Hopely the longer you are there it will improve.

We arrived at 1pm taken to our table , drinks ordered , dog friendly table which we requested . Manager came and told us that they were busy in the kitchen with 2 large tables of 8 and we would be after them , apologised ! So overall we had to wait an over an hour for our food , as much as we appreciated the apology we did feel this was far too long .I couldn’t fault the waiting/ front of house staff so feel that the problem of us waiting so long falls to the kitchen staff,are they doing enough prep beforehand? are there enough staff in kitchen? Hope we don’t have to wait so long for our meal again !
