Would have given full marks!
This is a great little pub and having only just moved to the area it was really pleasing to find it. On our first visit on Sunday 23rd July we went for the carvery which was great. However within 4 hours of leaving the pub I was violently sick and had diarrhoea all night. Monday I was washed out and it took all day for me to feel right again. Such a shame as everything was just perfect. We will not be returning.

We took the Father in Law for an early Father’s Day dinner on the Saturday everything was good. Staff were welcoming and no rush the food was exceptional despite the Chef having reservations no complaints from us. Perfect sized portions and I had to have and will recommend the sticky toffee pudding.

The curries were not very curry flavoured but understandable to please all. It was a shame the chicken curries had been overcooked so the meat has disintegrated, more like soup. Definitely give it another try

Lovely country pub with very charming and welcoming landlord. My friend and I had a pleasant lunch with an excellent bottle of wine. Her scampi were judged “delicious “ and the chips “okay but not fabulous “. My steak pie was very good with shortcrust pastry and a nice selection of vegetables. I would suggest the background music could have been more appropriate and not so loud, otherwise all very pleasant.

Sadly we ordered drink 2 you didn't have and our friend had gone on crown website to see menu so when we dat down at our table she was all geared up to order the pasta dish with chicken as extra sadly the waitress came back to say there was none. Felt a bit let down but certainly enjoyed what was presented so thank you so much we will be back.

This is my personal choice I like to visit a pub bar to order my drinks rather than be sat at a table and wait for service. Service wasn’t slow it’s just my preference as a real ale drinker I like to see the beers that’s are on in that particular pub. Second time of eating here will be back again. I was hoping for the crispy Chinese chicken and spring onion rather than the cubed chicken in a orange sauce. This was not as nice so there was a slight disappointment. Otherwise very good night.
