Excellent service and lovely pub. Food was well presented. The fish dishes were excellent, we had whitebait, fish and chips and the sole from the specials. However the chicken schnitzel was rather tough, so have scored the food slightly lower.

I particularly enjoyed my main course, which was sea bream, in a particular sauce. Everything about our meal was perfect. The service was excellent and the ambience such that we felt welcomed and at ease with our dog. Loos clean. Easy parking. Friendly staff. my husband enjoyed his birthday meal too. Though he did comment on the fact that nearly all the menu choices contained meat. We are pescatarians but a wider choice of vegan options would be nice.

Visited the kings arms during a stay at Portesham dairy farm campsite. Booked a table using the website which was really easy to use. As it was a Sunday I opted for the beef roast dinner and it was superb! All the ingredients were fresh and I loved it all. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, the yoyrdhire was a good size and the beef was cooked to perfection plus the veg and gravy was tasty. Not to mention the cauliflower cheese.
The customer service was 10 out of 10. Also dogs are allowed which was an added bonus.

The food and service was fantastic. But it was very chilly in the restaurant, I kept my scarf on and had my coat over my knees. We sympathise totally with energy costs etc. So didn't say anything. We absolutely love the Kings Arms. We go there every time we're visiting the area ( which is several times per year) and always have a really incredible meal. The staff, ambience, menu and friendliness of the place are something we really appreciate, and the little glass window in the outdoor decking that looks down into the stream is such a lovely touch for summer evenings. The only improvement that could be made is the sticky toffee pudding could be a little more moist... but a very small detail indeed when everything else is so lovely.

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch following a local walk. Staff were very friendly and efficient, the food was good, particularly the calf's liver (apparently!) the burger, fish & chips and curry, the rice pudding was deliciously creamy and the compot very tasty, the rice could probably have done with a little more cooking as some bits were rather hard, but overall it was a very pleasant meal.

A great evening on a horrid weather night. Service was very good and food was excellent. Waitress knew exactly what people in our party had ordered and we were 8. My fish pie was great and loved the chocolate torte served with winter berry compote (a tweak of the menu and we appreciated the chef accommodating them). Thank you

We had a really enjoyable meal sitting outside on a sunny day. No real complaints but found it mildly irritating to have to pay each time we ordered drinks and each course of the meal "because we were sitting outside". A sign of the times I suppose, or perhaps we just looked suspicious!

Excellent attentive staff.
On our first visit in January the roast dinner was perfect and great value.
Second visit in March still good value but potatoes maybe reheated and cauliflower cheese not enough sauce. I’m sure we’ll still come back tho.

I had the winter platter which was exceptional, my husband had fish and chips also very good .Did think that £30 was a tad on the dear side for a bottle of wine but hey ho we paid up.
