The Elizabeth Esther Cafè is named after my grandmothers. They knew how to make everyone feel at home and make everything from scratch. The spirit of the cafe' is one of WHOLESOME tradition and love.
We offer Wholesome Gourmet Cuisine, organic wines and spirits, and amazing craft beverages.

For standard bookings, not events. Credit cards are used to hold your reservation of parties of 5 or more. . You can cancel up to 24 hours before your reserved time. If you do not cancel you will be charged $10 per person. Special events with ticket/meal purchase no cancellation. Reservations are for 90 min. Gratuity/service charge for ticketed events are the property of the employer. Checks can not be split more than two ways. Reservations are for 90 min.

The power went out an hour before our reservation time.
They did call us immediately to say they could not serve us because the restaurant was closing.
We have eaten there before and enjoyed ourselves.

This visit was exceptionally better than the set menu for New Year's Eve last year. That meal was disappointing. Our children had purchased a gift card for us. Not knowing of our experience. Had brunch with a dear friend and the experience was wonderful! The decor was beautiful. Our waitress was helpful, welcoming and informative. The food was delicious. We had the crepes with home fries and fruit. It was fabulous! We are already planning the next visit! It's one of the few places you can go where you can have a conversation without having to compete with a noisy background. Loved it!

I had a fantastic dining experience at Elizabeth Esther Café! Our server, Josie, was incredibly nice and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
I ordered the BLT, which was absolutely delicious—perfectly crispy bacon and fresh ingredients. The French onion soup was hands-down the best I’ve ever had, with a rich, flavorful broth and a perfectly gooey layer of cheese. For dessert, I tried the bread pudding, which was warm, comforting, and made even better by the addition of cranberries—a unique and tasty touch!
The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. I’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!

I took a friend to lunch and was delighted to have a room for ourselves only. We hadn’t seen one another in years so it was nice to have privacy. The food was delicious, especially the pickles! In a beautiful historical building in Smyrna sits a wonderful and lovely setting for a Smyrna restaurant called Elizabeth Esther Cafe. The menu is varied and the food was delicious and presented in an appetizing and appealing way! I ate the Tuscan chicken flatbread with a side salad for about $15.00. The white ice tea was refreshing and delicious! Would recommend this little treasure of a restaurant to anyone. Also very conveniently located near the Smyrna Opera House with good parking!

Over all, dining experience was quite enjoyable. Server was very pleasant and always smiling and personable. Unfortunately, there were several unavailable menu items due to delivery issues which were beyond the cafe's control. The chef even helped select alternative choices that might meet our dietary needs, and they did! Server offered a dessert sample which resulted in a delicious purchase! The cafe's website where I made a reservation should be updated to reflect current hours as posted on sign at door of 10-2 instead of website's 11-8. Reservation was for 1:00 and according to the website was allowed to last for 90 minutes (until 2:30). Unknowingly, we stayed until 3:00, but the server was gracious and did not rush us out. I will definitely return for lunch, but will make a reservation for earlier in the day!
