Amazing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was wonderful. I had the parfait to start, duck nreast for main (the rabbit was unavailable due to delivery problems), which we had a side of the mashed potatoes, which was plenty for two to share. Chose the lemon tart to finish. It was really great and I will definitely be back.

Service was excellent, really impressed. Food was really good, my husband said his steak was superb, which is high praise indeed from him! My steak wasn't the best I've ever had, hence slightly down on food score, along with the mushroom ravioli which was a bit bland until seasoned. We had an excellent time though... cocktails were ace, and presented a bit differently... thoroughly enjoyed our experience, service was exceptional, and will absolutely return :)

Brasserie Ecosse is a beautifully designed and decorated restaurant with a nice lively atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent. Our food was absolutely delicious - I had the Chicken & Duck Liver Parfait (which was imaginatively presented as an egg in a nest) and my flat iron steak and chips were fantastic with the most perfect creamy peppercorn sauce. My husband really enjoyed the soup which he said was a delicious (and interesting) combination of flavours and his burger was perfect! Absolutely delighted with our visit and the bill was reasonable too for such quality.
Highly recommend Brasserie Ecosse and look forward to a return visit next time we are in Dundee.

Absolutely loved our meal, but being asked by the young waitress how much we wanted to tip her at the end of the night was really off putting (she the typed it into the card machine). Would have much preferred to have been given the card machine to put in the figure ourselves. It’s a small issue but really did overshadow what was a lovely evening, perhaps just pass the card machine so people can opt to tip whatever without being put on the spot - I felt quite embarrassed.

Loved our meal here. Some of the food was just so different in its presentation and made it such an interesting and fun experience. We had wine and cocktails, both were delicious. Staff were lovely and were able to answer any of our questions about the food.

We would rate this restaurant very highly. The setting, food and ambiance were first rate. The staff were very welcoming and adaptable . They obviously had been trained to a high standard, while remaining warm and friendly.
One observation would be that the dining chairs were a tad uncomfortable. Thankfully a rather clever lady staff member came up with a novel solution!

This place was fantastic. First of all I have to call out the social distancing between tables which are so nice and far apart to make you feel see really safe and secure.
Secondly the food was extraordinary - so good you want to discuss it with the staff and chefs and recommend to all and sundry.
I had the Japanese rice porridge starter which was a lovely surprise. The main duck dish was good but the vegetables were lovingly cooked. But the star dish was the humble Vanilla Ice Cream - it was a dream, best vanilla ice cream I have had in probably 15-20 years!

Brasserie Ecosse was a real surprise to me, not just because of the warmth of the welcome, but also because of the extremely high quality of food and service too. I don't know why I hadn't expected to come across such a superb restaurant in Dundee, but honestly it would excel in Edinburgh, London or Abu Dhabi - all places i know extremely well. This was a delightful experience and the cocktails were also fabulous. Highly recommended for foodies everywhere.

The best lunch my wife and I have had in a long-time. Service was at relaxed pace so we never felt rushed. When it came to paying the bill an error with a desert and cheese board that we didn't have was resolved without question. We will be using this restaurant again. Thank you Natalie and your colleagues for making our visit so enjoyable. The people in the kitchen certainly know what they are doing great food beautifully presented. If I were a Jay Rayner this review would be better written.

Spacious restaurant well situated for Caird Hall and looking out on the big wheel. Service and food were excellent. Prices for main courses were quite high and we had two starters instead but both excellent and I am sure the quality of the main courses would be very good too. Nice touch to give Tunnock’s tea cakes with coffee.

We went there as we had a voucher. My husband is vegetarian, so we hoped for some lovely choices. I had steak, it was beautiful, full of flavour, with some delicious mushroom sauce. However, my husbands vegetarian option was small and flavourless. It costed £16 for couple veg thrown together, that’s quite disappointing. Overall, as a vegetarian wouldn’t go back, but as a steak eater probably would. Even though you have to pay separately for chips.

Having dined on the voucher offer received as a gift this was great value and a lovely meal. I would eat again here but probably only if a voucher was available as I would not regard it such good value at full price. Staff all very pleasant and helpful and a nice spacious restaurant.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and very efficient
The only down point was being told we had to vacate our table as it was required for someone else. We hadn’t been told when we booked that there was a time limit on the table so it did come as a surprise.
We moved to the lounge area with our drinks but it was cold and a bit if a surprise.
When you are paying that sort of money you don’t really expect to be moved on after such a short time.
