probably one of the best meals i’ve had in a long time! the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and food was delicious with many flavours complimenting each other I would definitely recommend a visit and I will be returning

We had such a great time and will 100% be back. The atmosphere is so personable, the food fantastic, the wine super delicious. We sat at the bar which we really enjoyed, sometimes that can be a bit much with the barman right near you but he was so tactful, there when we had a question but aside that didn't feel like he was in our space at all. I think we pretty much shared every plate on the menu between the 3 of us and it didn't break the bank, that said we only got 1 bottle of wine for the night (a lovely chilled carb'd red). Thanks folks

Honestly had the best time at Brusco Bar – James has made it such a gorgeous little spot. It’s rustic, properly Italian and the food is sooo delicious. I loved sharing all the small plates (could happily order them all again) and the aperitivos were chef’s kiss

Lovely food. Just one thing was that the guy taking the wine order described the cheapest red bottle on the menu (at £34, with the other wines starting at £50 plus)) as “entry level” which sort of implied he thought we were “entry level” too! Am sure it wasn’t intended but it did come over as rather arrogant and off-hand. Also I think you should have some wines in the £20 and £40 range as the current pricing structure is very steep. Apart from that really lovely food and I would definitely go again.

Absolutely beautiful little new place just a few streets away from the both of us in the party going, so we had been eying it from the opening and were very much looking forward to visiting. Cool space, with the soul of a little 'only-known-to-the-locals' bistro / bar in Paris or an Italian town. (Lovely little extra touch was a birthday card by our seats, as I who made the booking had ticked special occasion 'birthday' in that option when booking.) Only downside which had us walk out feeling a bit 'meh' was that having reserved seating and then only having an hour and a half (however much you understand it in terms of profit for a small place-), it would have been both professional and kind to give us a heads up, say with half an hour or at least twenty minutes left of our time, as it must have been clear to the (otherwise lovely-) staff as we were seated at the actual bar where they were; that we had 2/3 of a bottle of wine left , that we then ended up walking out and standing in the street with. Food was okey, granted we are both quite spoiled with good Italian food at home, and one of us had just returned from a trip to Italy. Overall, sadly, the time-thing made it so that we won't be as keen to both come back together, and bring our other friends who are always looking for nice new places to go have drinks and food. The uniqueness (at least where we live) of the ambiance will still make it so that at least one of us might pop back for a drink, as the Negronis were excellent..!
