We very much enjoyed our Sunday roast meal in the very pleasant and friendly Deco Restaurant. We chose the lamb as so many restaurants don't these days offer it as an option, probably because of its cost. However this was rather disappointingly not a sliced carved portion of lamb but a prepared, rectangular chunk. The taste was good nevertheless and the accompanying vegetables excellent. We shared a generous portion of tiramisu for dessert.

Food was amazing, service great - excellent venue. Only suggestion - is that allergen information is put on the menu, or staff ask if there is allergen issues. Otherwise we absolutely loved it, and will return. Fantastic roast!

Everything was perfect. The best roast we’ve ever had. The service was friendly effficient and could not be faulted. The ambience was beautiful and the weather helped. The quality of the dressing of the table was impeccable. Having high quality cutlery, glassware and crockery made the whole experience very satisfying. I cannot think of anything that would improve the experience. (Linen napkins would be wonderful but so impractical and expensive so an unnecessary luxury).

Just one thing the breakfast was in an oval dish making it hard to cut and see all the lovely food and the burger and chips on a large plate. Maybe swap them around as the chips and burger looked a bit lost on the big plate but would look like your getting a lot on the oval dish. Just saying but we loved it all and will be back

From the moment we were welcomed when we arrived we had a really good experience. The staff couldn’t do enough fo us including trying to keep the bifold doors open in the difficult conditions (very hot and windy) This was the only downside and couldn’t be helped due to the unique design of the building which we loved The food was amazing especially the vegetables which accompanied the roast. The choice was limited but we had looked online and knew what to expect.

This was the first time I'd been to the new restaurant at The Lido, although I've had many coffees and snacks in the lovely cafe on the ground floor. It will certainly not be the last time! The Sunday roast was exactly as billed - fresh, beautifully cooked, with excellent ingredients and very ample portions! In fact, don't tell them, but they'd actually sell more desserts if their main course portions were less generous! As for the surroundings - Wow!

It was really enjoyable and the staff were very accommodating as first two people drank and ate. Then two more who were going for the 9 pm summer solstice swim came and had a drink, then they went and another two joined us after they finished their swim and had food and drinks. Unfortunately Deco closed at 9 pm so it was a pity as the last swim was 9pm so they couldn’t eat. Just for once the Cafe could have stayed open a little longer

We had a lovely time and were looked after really well. The food was amazing and we even took home a doggy box of the food we couldn't eat. Great service and lovely smiley people. The restaurant is in a lovely setting and great for groups as well as couples. The full menu was unavailable which was disappointing and only one member of staff doing everything. There needed to be at least 2 staff as the restaurant was busy enough. Food was good but limited choice.

Had the vegan roast was really nice and well presented, only thing I would change is that the Brussel sprouts were not cooked they were really hard so had to leave them, also could of done with more gravy. The vegan desert of sticky gingerbread pudding was again very good. Service couldn’t be faulted excellent.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor although the place we were seating at was quite hot. Everything else was quite acceptable except for the Sunday roast beef which was not “Aged sirloin” but it tasted like it had been killed not more than a few days before. It was very tough and stringy and we brought it back to our dog. As I said before everything else was good

Food was delicious and plenty of it (we took some home!). Long wait for drinks we ordered with dessert (came way after we had finished and only after we had asked again.) Also some deviation from menu description to what was on the plate (e.g stuffing had apricot instead of apple and raisin) BUT … we would go back in a heartbeat because everything tasted so good. The cauliflower cheese was AMAZING! The ambience was superb and the service was friendly.

Great meal out at Deco - food was delicious and well-presented. Staff friendly. The chef came to ask if my partner liked his Irish coffee (as he'd not made one before) and they had a chat about how it was made and perhaps changes to improve the recipe. There was someone there with a really loud voice that echoed quite a lot - nothing the venue or staff could do about it. Will defiitely go back as it's very local for us and I'm keen to support local businesses.

The restaurant felt Clinically cold, no atmosphere, unlike the cafe downstairs If you are only serving one meal a Sunday roast, in set hours and you have bookings later in that session it is not acceptable to run out of food on the menu especially if your prices are top end The food we did have was very good and the service was good

The evening was lovely and we really enjoyed it except we felt the waiting staff were untrained although very sweet and polite.We were not given a bowl to put shells into when I ordered the seafood linguine dish,no steak knife was given when my husband ordered the steak nor was he asked how he’d liked it cooked we had to call her as she walked away to tell her and only a fork was given with dessert even though it was evident it had a sauce.Our table was behind a large pillar which was right next to the Christmas tree,we felt shoved in a corner almost.The food was delicious I must say and the greeting staff very cheerful and friendly.The music and band were great too! But I do feel we should be compensated in some way for the experience we had in the restaurant because it wasn’t cheap in the slightest so for that it should have been far better we feel!

Food was delicious- we had the Sunday roast, it was very tasty and a big plateful. We brought a doggy bag home. The service was poor, maybe the restaurant was understaffed?At times there were no staff on our level at all and we had to wait to call someone over to take our order/ ask for the bill. No one asked if we wanted sauces/ extra gravy/ if we were happy with our food. We really felt abandoned! Once the servers came over they were polite and efficient. Unusually for a restaurant the service was not added to the bill and there wasn’t a tip option to add extra when paying the bill by card.

We love the venue and the staff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed our meal but had to wait quite a long time for it. We understood that two large parties being served at the same time put pressure on the kitchen but under normal circumstances the wait would have been unacceptable. Also, through no fault of anyone, two large Christmas parties make quite a lot of noise, which did impact to some extent on our experience.

Confusion when we arrived about our booking but sorted out reasonably quickly. Coffee very good. 2 of our party had the halloumi and chips and garnish and both enjoyed it very much. 3rd member had the chicken soaked in buttermilk and finished with breadcrumbs, what was slightly odd was the skin had been left on the chicken so when you got through the nice crunchy layer you got this slimy chicken skin which was not pleasant. Shame because it detracted from would have been a perfect piece of chicken. Once deconstructed it was edible. Won’t put us off going again I will just ask a few more questions next time.

The waiter spilt a whole tray of drinks over a gentleman on the next table which was unfortunate and whilst we had plenty of glasses on our table we had to ask for water and then only a single glass of water was brought to the table, a bottle of water ( especially in this heat) should have been a given! On checking our bill when we got home we had been charged for two cocktails and we only had one but these things can happen and we should have checked. I have only pointed this out as I want to give genuine feedback and want the Lido to thrive! The food was delicious and we will certainly be back. Thank you

We had the afternoon tea which was amazing! We had dainty sandwiches, a great variety of cakes including lemon curd filled profiteroles, mini carrot cakes, mini chocolate croissants and scones cream and jam. Everything was beautifully presented. Well worth the indulgence.

Location is a bit bare, could do with some plants by the curved wall around the ballroom staircase, or a flower on the tables, felt a bit stark. Had to ask twice for water. Waiters were nervous and unsure. Didn’t open wine, just put bottle on the table. No cutlery given with starter so we used main cutlery, this however was replaced with starter cutlery for our main course. We weren’t offered a dessert menu. People were starting to queue for booked tables by the lift, hovering by people who were already seated, it would have been better to do this by the main door into the ballroom to make it flow better and feel more like a restaurant. These are all minor points, we appreciate it’s a new venue with new staff but wanted to give feedback to help you iron out some minor points. The food was really good and the venue is beautiful. We’re very lucky to have the lido on our doorstep and will definitely be back. The main concierge/host was very good, it just felt a bit chaotic and disorganised having him set up in the middle of the room. We’re looking forward to coming back to eat soon so thank you for all your hard work in getting this far.

Lovely venue. Personally I would like to see less fried food and a bit more green vegetable/salad options but it's early days for this place and they have to offer what their market wants. The location and decor is gorgeous and great drinks menu and brunch offer.

Friendly staff. Tasty food and good wine if a little pricey. Our table was a bit cramped in relation to the other tables on either side of us. We struggled to move chairs without bumping into adjacent diners. (Under the staircase).

We came for lunch on a Wednesday. Great to be able to sit upstairs now and I love the Art Deco style - brilliantly restored. I was somewhat disappointed in the limited vegetarian options for the main dishes. The staff were very pleasant but thin on the ground in the upstairs seating meaning that we needed to go and find a member of the waiting staff.

We loved eating at the restaurant, however the following could be improved: My burger arrived without bacon, as it should have done. No waiting staff were on hand in the restaurant after around 5 minutes, so I had to go to the bar to get it rectified. On the whole, waiting staff need to be more present - they were stretched on the day. The burger meat was dry (overcooked), and the base of the bun was too dense for my liking. The waiting staff were very professional, friendly, polite, and attentive when in the restaurant eating area. The linguini was extremely nice. The overall ambience was very pleasant and relaxing.

The food was good quality but unfortunately cold, one of our party did ask to have it reheated, but on return the plate was hot, although the food was still cold? We booked a table for a birthday lunch, but several things on the menu had run out? They were obviously getting ready to close, we were the last table to leave, this should have been made clear to us when we booked, if it had been, we would have come earlier. The whole experience was disappointing.

Welcomed well Beautiful Deco restaurant Our roast was cold, Yorkshire puddings and meat was like it had come out of fridge, it was dealt with quickly, but food still needed to be hotter. We will return as food was very tasty. Think it had maybe been sitting for a while

I understand that this was the first night of the restaurant opening and I am always happy to support local businesses. But a few things to bear in mind that could enhance the customer experience in the future: 1 - portion control. Prices seemed reasonable, but I had Wagu beef and chips - would have been nice to have a couple of spears of tender stem broccoli or asparagus to accompany it. 2 - lighting could have been controlled in a way to create a nice, more relaxing ambience. Once it was dusk/dark outside the lights were still on quite strongly - made to feel more like we were dining in a canteen. 3 - a large area of the floor for seating at the back of the restaurant was empty. Even if there was no intention of filling the tables, it would have been nice to have tables set out or in a way where it didn't feel half empty. I assume more tables and chairs may be on order?

We enjoyed the food but service at the table was weak. We asked for water twice before it arrived and we were half way through the meal before some of the condiments arrived. We never got the salt and pepper we asked for. There were no spoons for desserts and forks offered instead. The waiter was very apologetic about this but said he couldn’t find any anywhere. The staff I think were overwhelmed by sheer numbers. We will go again when it settles and staff are more knowledgeable about their role as the ambience is good. Great watching the swimmers from the panoramic wondow.

'First night' so hesitant to be over critical but not up to standard yet. Lighting and heating made it seem cold. Waiters tried hard but inexperienced. Portion size disappointing. Welcome for a 'first evening' nothing special. Overall taste was good. Prosecco a little flat. Maitre D' dressed as if out for a casual evening in the pub and didn't seem to be taking us too seriously when we mentioned our concerns, but was very pleasant overall. No offer of bread or sides to bulk out the meal. I took the fish as main and there was some meat as part of the dish, a bit bizarre in itself, but when I asked for that to be removed nothing was offered to replace it. Of course the place itself is amazing. Reports on breakfasts etc are good. Unfortunately it appears to placing itself as fine dining, although not at that price point, but it's not fine dining. It will improve as it finds its level and I shall go again as it deserves to succeed.
