Had a fabulous time at The Black Horse.. As always!! The service was impeccable.. friendly and efficient and always a smile! The food was incredible. Sunday roasts are definitely the best I have tasted. One rolled shoulder of Lamb for my partner.. and I was persuaded to try the Vegetarian option of the Veggie Wellington.. Goats cheese, mushrooms, Butternut squash and spinach topped with pastry.It was amazing. The choice of food is great and such good value. What added to our enjoyment was the atmosphere. All the customers were very happy, a nice buzz as we all enjoyed the football! Thank you Paul, Declan and staff for all you do. Will be back soon.

The Black Horse is a wonderful traditional pub with a great atmosphere. The staff are excellent and very helpful and help create a very welcoming environment. The food is outstanding. With my two sons we had a few starters and mains which were excellent, the flavour and taste of the food was wonderful and the array of dips that accompany the food were also magnificent. We had a wonderful afternoon and look forward to returning soon.

Our first time to the Black Horse Inn for lunch. Lovely Christmassy atmosphere, fresh hot food and a hot plate (unheard of), the chicken had been rested after cooking (also unheard of, I had very touch chicken recently - elsewhere). Very good gravy. One point knocked off for packet Yorkshire puddings. Not that busy at 2 in the afternoon on a Sunday. Very slow bar service, one extremely quietly spoken bar person who was a bit bewildered meant it took a while for us to get drinks, but she was also lovely. Maybe she is new. Overall we would go back.

Lovely food but very disappointing they didn’t have a vegan alternative as we had gone their specifically for their vegan roast which had apparently been taken off the menu that day. So we went for the vegetarian alternative which was very good but as vegans we probably wouldn’t go back unless they brought it back on the menu.

Lots of them flying around us throughout the meal and in the pub, not sure what can be done to solve the problem as doors were open for ventilation which is important at the moment. Just annoying. Fly curtains on doors perhaps?
