Glad we had prebooked our cycling group's visit, as when we arrived earlier than expected the cafe was overflowing as it was half term. As it was we were shown to a private room upstairs and enjoyed an excellent lunch and friendly efficient staff looked after us as if we were at home! Brilliant - only slight niggle was that the soup ran out too early!

Delicious sandwiches. The bread was lovely. The scones were perfect jist how we like them. The cakes were divine Really nice cafe with a nice atmosphere in stunning location. The service was good as well. Nice friendly staff. Very nice experience.

We always have a fabulous lunch whenever we visit. Exceptionally helpful staff, with top quality food and lots of freshly baked cakes to choose from. The homemade coleslaw is yummy too

Such an excellent cafe. There was someone in our booked seats, the staff dealt with this swiftly and efficiently even though the cafe was extremely busy. We were found another table immediately. The food and service was excellent.

Great having the booking facility as I use the cafe on a regular basis and it was always hit and miss there would be an available table for us.Booking the table was very easy. Staff are always very helpful and friendly an assist to the cafe. Food is consistently good and fresh, although I think it is a little expensive. I can’t think of anything to improve our experience, maybe bring the prices down a bit! But can’t see that happening. My husband and I call in every Thursday for breakfast and feel because we arrive just after 10 am there is no need to book as there are always available tables, but when I meet up with friends, booking takes the worry out of table availability.so now nothing needs to change. Love the sausages at breakfast, please don’t change them.

My cousin and I were both surprised by the excellent quality of the food. It was slightly on the expensive side for a self-service tearoom (close to served casual dining prices) but my salad was huge. I’ve never been given as much goat’s cheese! The service was helpful and very pleasant. It’s just a shame that table service is not offered for meals.

Always love our visits to Sledmere. Coffee was a little cold this time but I made the comment and corrects were instantly addressed for our next cup! Lovely menu. Lovely staff. Would def recommend

We booked a table, however other customers had taken the chairs from the table whilst we were queuing. Your staff were great finding us replacements. The staff were great and friendly, but the service at the counter was incredibly slow. Whilst I appreciate it was really busy as the Xmas fair was on, we were in the queue to order the food for around 30 minutes which was too long to be standing. Our food was probably another 30 minutes before it was served so I'm glad we chose cold drinks. On the positive, the staff were lovely and friendly and the food was very good.

I ordered scrambled eggs with peppers and goats cheese. It was lovely, but had chedder in it not goats cheese, so disappointing. There was no explanation.

Staff always welcoming and friendly a lovely place to meet friends for a catch up. I do find the price has gone up in the past months and feel that we aren’t getting value for money food wise. I also feel lovely as the americano coffee is it seems to be getting too strong for me, have you changed the blend of coffee recently?

We booked a table inside but actually sat outside and let the staff know. The inside of the cafe is so, so noisy! I visit regularly and find the acoustics are dreadful - with only half a dozen people in the cafe is still very noisy. Quite a lot of the lettuce in the salad garnish was turning brown and the chips were very imitation.

It was perfectly fine, but not exceptional, with a very limited choice for my vegetarian friend. The outdoor seating area is very pleasant but it was very noisy inside - on the plus side the cakes are very good!
