The staff were fantastic and the food was sublime. This was my fathers first experience at an Indian restaurant and he loved it. He’ll definitely be coming with the rest of the family going forward.

A group of us visited Kahani on a city break holiday….. The food all came out together and was all piping hot with super service, I asked for a paneer Korma that wasn't on the menu, With absolutely no trouble at all they accommodated for me. It was the best one i have ever had…… One complaint i wish you were local to me and not a 5 hour train ride…… Ha! Best curry house ever visited no wonder you were always busy when we passed! Thanks for a superb meal!!!

Couldn’t fault our experience here. We come through from Dundee for the day and tried Kahani, we weren’t disappointed. There was a sign at the door saying they were short staffed and asked to be patient but honestly you’d never have known! Staff were so attentive and no long waits for food. Great service.

What an amazing find on our weekend escape to Edinburgh. A true representation of quality, authentic and finger licking Indian food. Being Indian, we know the taste to expect and accept. Kahani was brilliant. One of the best Indian restaurants we have been to and we live in the Midlands! The quality, quantity and variety of food is perfect. The team especially the manager was quite possibly the best service we have had. Best biryani we have eaten outside of home. Well done team Kahani!

We had a wonderful evening. Food was delicious and so reasonably priced. Special mention to our waiter (sorry, never got his name) for his lovely manner, attentiveness and tolerance (we were quite boisterous & demanding!). He went above & beyond to take care of us - a wonderful example of amazing customer service. Couldn't have asked for more! We'll (all!) definitely be back!

We dined here with friends. The food was amazing, good quality, fresh and plenty of it. Staff were welcoming, friendly and we never felt rushed even though the restaurant was busy. Excellent value for money. Restaurant clean and tastefully decorated. Toilets are very clean too and well stocked. So pleased this is our local Indian restaurant. Always a good night out at Kahani. Our visit was very enjoyable, food lovely. When the waiter brought our menus I noticed he didn’t give us the set lunch menu so I supposed they must only do it Monday to Friday so we ordered from main menu. When paying the bill I checked with the waiter if the set lunch menu was valid only on certain days, thinking we can return on a day it’s valid, and was told it is valid 7 days a week. This was very disappointing to hear, our meal would have been a lot cheaper if that option would have been offered when first placing our order.

Great restaurant! Really great to have a BYOB in the city centre. The food and service were excellent - and the waiters made my dads birthday with a special slice of cake. Some of the lanterns and lights could be dimmed to improve ambience but overall great and can’t wait to return!
