Frequently Asked Questions- Do you allow dogs in The Marlborough?
- We absolutely do allow dogs in The Marlborough! However, on one condition. We have lovely carpets and we ask that dogs are clean and dry when they visit, we know they love to play in the mud and they are welcome but only as far as the garden. (we supply little blue booties for doggo parents to cover their muddy boots with!)

Lovely staff. All very friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. Beautifully cooked and presented. Great atmosphere with no background music so we could all enjoy chatting to each other without having to raise our voices. Felt some of the dishes on the menu were a bit expensive. However we appreciate that everything has gone up in price and it hasn’t put us off coming back

Wedding anniversary meal with my wife.
Ambience was perfect, with just enough background noise and the pub itself having that "olde world" charm...
Food was excellent and neither one of us can fault the quality, quantity or flavours...my wife was particularly impressed with the Venison Scotch Egg that she had as a starter. I had the steak and frites, which was melt in the mouth and delicious.
100% recommended by us and will definitely return.

Myself and my 2 friends had dinner with you last night. The feel of the pub was very warm and inviting and the ambience throughout our time with you was relaxed and made us all feel very comfortable. I was the first of our party to arrive and was welcomed by Connor in a friendly warm manner and this continued throughout our time with you. The presentation and taste of our chicken Kiev was outstanding. I can not think of any improvements that could be made. Thank you all for a lovely evening.

The staff had apart from offering great customer service, also a fantastic sense of humour. Cannot fault any aspect of the service, which was quietly attentive, or the food, which arrived promptly and was delicious. convenient place to meet as we were coming from 3 different areas, Norfolk, London and Sussex. We were not disappointed. The staff were helpful efficient and friendly and the food excellent.

Perfect spot for a rainy, autumn Sunday lunch. The service was as anticipated amazing. I had Roast pork meat was juicy with crackling my friend had Chicken.with stuffing. Plenty of sweet veg and a side of cauliflower cheese. Both of us cleared our plates. We were full. Bit give us half and hour and we went for puds and coffee. We had the Sunday roast, mine was the vegetarian wellington my partners the pork, and I have to say it was probably the best roast I have had out at a pub. The wellington was delicious and a nice change from a nut roast, the veg was cooked perfectly and the roast potatoes were amazing, crispy and fluffy in the centre. Normally I’m disappointed with pub roast potatoes but these were perfect! I can see why the pub was so busy, but still the staff were very friendly and professional. We definitely will be back, thank you

Everything was wonderful and the food was amazing. The portions were very large and filling even for the male customers.The only thing was it was very noisy at first due to several parties but it didn’t spoil our experience and i will definitely recommend the pub
