Using locally sourced produce and ensuring every element of food is freshly prepared and made-to-order by inspiring chefs, you will enjoy good quality modern British fare in a quaint Grade II listed thatched property.

Table d’hote (Set Menu) offered Wednesday to Saturday for Lunch (12:00 – 15:00). There is variety of dishes to choose from with 2 courses for £20.00 and 3 courses for £25.00.

Al la Carte Menu offered Wednesday to Saturday for both Lunch (12:00 – 15:00) and Dinner (18:00 – 21:00)

Sunday Menu offers an extensive list of starters and desserts, with a choice of 4 roasts. Our very popular Sharing Roast board gives you a little of everything!

Lunch for three very recently. We had a really great meal. The food was perfectly cooked and presented adding to the overall enjoyment. Very friendly front of house young man who engaged fully with us. He went that extra mile phoning us and others about possible road diversions en route to our destination, a really thoughtful gesture. This was our first visit but definitely not the last. Lovely all round.

Ive been 3 times now. Way before xmas in November, before xmas and after. The first time was with a large group, and each time the service was excellent, friendly, relaxed not too much etc. At the 3 times the food was served all together, piping hot, meat really tender, beautiful flavours. Puddings to die for. The tall young man who served us also made our experience in how he was with us all. Thank you

Happy waiters and waitresses here who serve you with a smile. The food never disappoints. They sometimes have truffle triple cooked chips which are superb. The sponge puddings are also absolutely delicious when on the menu. Definitely made fresh as you certainly can taste the difference. Highly recommend.

The restaurant was excellent. A tad expensive but excellent. I was not impressed with Table Agent where I had to sign up to change the booking. I didn’t and called the restaurant instead. Table Agent, I don’t like receiving unsolicited emails even if I can unsubscribe and that is what I would get if I signed up!

First visit, enjoyed Sunday lunch with friends last weekend. Lovely pub, great ambience. Food was excellent. My husband and I chose the roast sharing platter. The only little niggle was that we felt there were not enough roast potatoes. We didn't feel inclined to ask for more as it wasn't a big deal. They were exceptionally tasty, hence why we would have liked a few more :). Highly recommend and will go back. The frontage looks like it would be fabulous to sit out on a sunny afternoon/evening.

We arrived 15 minutes early but were immediately shown to a table where we remained for our lunch. In our party were my son-in-law, myself and my daughter (who has a rare and difficult form of dementia) . I had been in 2 days before and told a young staff member of this and she said her mother would be on duty the day we were coming and she would take care of my daughter as she was used to caring for dementia patients. Almost as soon as we sat down the lady staff member made herself know to me and was wonderful with my daughter. Apart from that, the food and service were marvellous. Such tasty roasties 'yumyum'. We all had a lovely lunch and my daughter enjoyed herself immensely. She usually plays loud football songs when in a restaurant but was clearly so content that she saw no need to do that. We will definitely be back. Unfortunately We did not see our 'waitress' to thank her before we left but we will make a point of seeing her the next time we come in. I ticked the 10 on every row above but it does not show up. Thank you all :o)

I am the worst roast snob in the world, and would never order a roast off a menu but this was exceptionally good. Loads of lovely veg and extra gravy when requested. So good - going back again next weekend - and it will be a roast again for me !
