Table d’hote (Set Menu) offered Wednesday to Saturday for Lunch (12:00 – 15:00). There is variety of dishes to choose from with 2 courses for £20.00 and 3 courses for £25.00.
Al la Carte Menu offered Wednesday to Saturday for both Lunch (12:00 – 15:00) and Dinner (18:00 – 21:00)
Sunday Menu offers an extensive list of starters and desserts, with a choice of 4 roasts. Our very popular Sharing Roast board gives you a little of everything!

Ive been 3 times now. Way before xmas in November, before xmas and after. The first time was with a large group, and each time the service was excellent, friendly, relaxed not too much etc. At the 3 times the food was served all together, piping hot, meat really tender, beautiful flavours. Puddings to die for. The tall young man who served us also made our experience in how he was with us all. Thank you

Happy waiters and waitresses here who serve you with a smile.
The food never disappoints.
They sometimes have truffle triple cooked chips which are superb.
The sponge puddings are also absolutely delicious when on the menu. Definitely made fresh as you certainly can taste the difference.

I was not impressed with Table Agent where I had to sign up to change the booking. I didn’t and called the restaurant instead.

First visit, enjoyed Sunday lunch with friends last weekend. Lovely pub, great ambience. Food was excellent. My husband and I chose the roast sharing platter. The only little niggle was that we felt there were not enough roast potatoes. We didn't feel inclined to ask for more as it wasn't a big deal. They were exceptionally tasty, hence why we would have liked a few more :). Highly recommend and will go back. The frontage looks like it would be fabulous to sit out on a sunny afternoon/evening.

We arrived 15 minutes early but were immediately shown to a table where we remained for our lunch. In our party were my son-in-law, myself and my daughter (who has a rare and difficult form of dementia) . I had been in 2 days before and told a young staff member of this and she said her mother would be on duty the day we were coming and she would take care of my daughter as she was used to caring for dementia patients. Almost as soon as we sat down the lady staff member made herself know to me and was wonderful with my daughter. Apart from that, the food and service were marvellous. Such tasty roasties 'yumyum'.
We all had a lovely lunch and my daughter enjoyed herself immensely. She usually plays loud football songs when in a restaurant but was clearly so content that she saw no need to do that.
We will definitely be back. Unfortunately We did not see our 'waitress' to thank her before we left but we will make a point of seeing her the next time we come in.

3 of us had a wonderful meal here. We're all foodies and love nothing better than to tuck in to a good meal. All of us were super impressed and not only by the food. The waitress, who was also running the bar on a Thursday evening was superb. Welcoming, friendly and efficient. My goodness she worked hard, but without fuss. The pan fried cod on a bed of risotto was delicious, and the lamb was raved about by one of our party. The Eton mess was the best I've ever tasted. Seriously good food.

First time at The Spotted Dog! Drove almost an hour to get there based on the amazing reviews, and it was 100% worth it.
Beautifully set tables, complete with candles and immaculate glasses and cutlery.

This is the first time we have visited since the new owners have taken over and it is a hard act to follow, but we can safely say the the food, service ambience is the same as the last owners.

This was a "wow" evening out. The food was exceptional. We both had the Great Garnetts pork chop which was cooked to perfection. The coffee Crème Brûlée was fantastic.

New owners have taken over the spotted dog so thought we would support a local business. Service was great, food was great. My other half doesn’t drink alcohol so would be nice if they introduced some sort of mock tails but overall good experience so will be back.

We had such a lovely evening on Saturday. The Front of House was extremely welcoming, the food was very good with a warming ambience. The only downside was that my first choice of the mains was not available. Would definitely go again.
