Most of the food was delicious. Though it would be nice to offer a gluten free replacement for the bread so that us gluten free people can enjoy the menu more. (The bread offered didn’t seem to match the sides- texture and consistency) Also, the prices for many of the small plates are a bit much, especially given the socioeconomic status of the majority of folks in humboldt.
The dessert was wonderful and the portion was great for the price.
The drinks were outstanding.

I went specifically to have the short ribs, and the prep. had not started in time. Disappointing. Also, the chocolate desert seemed short on volume.

Your place is beautiful though a bit dark…we had to borrow a candle to read the tiny print on the bill. Service was great. Cocktails were tasty. My friends seemed happy w the food, but your limited menu is not for me. I’m gluten intolerant so I couldn’t eat the noodles or dumplings. I love a good cut of meat but I’m not crazy about ribs so I had the chicken which was good but I cook chicken often at home. I felt the carrots were rather bland and the “light” dishes overpriced. A rice or potato dish would be a nice option for those who are gluten intolerant. Finally, I don’t often go out to eat anymore since prices have gone so high so when I do I appreciate a menu that holds more options for me.

Food was not quite up to par this particular evening based on rave reviews I’ve heard from friends. Pork dumplings were dry, overdone? Parsnips and potatoes accompanying the braised ribs were dry, ribs were very good. Noodles were good loved the mint, unsure if these should have been warm or room temp? We will be back!
