Food was amazing and price very good. We had booked a table and when we arrived were told it was a bit busy although there was only two tables of customers in the restaurant. We had to wait over 20 mins at the bar for two drinks and once we took them through to the restaurant it was another 20mins before our order was taken. We also a drink before the starters that was forgotten and didn't arrive until the main course.
Speed of service did improve slightly towards the second half of our visit.
Staff were polite and food was genuinely very tasty.

Lovely fish and chips. Pleasant staff & service However our table area wasn't cleaned or checked properly as my chair & under the table had food particles as well as the window ledge this also had dead flies and mould this was of putting. The windows were also filthy this was in the conservatory area. We have eaten in the bar area before that smells a bit musty however it may be the fire. Overall the food is good and the service but a little more attention to detail is required in-between service. Inside needs a lick of paint but outside is beautiful.

We didn’t linger because we were cold, especially our feet and legs. The lovely fire was warming to look at but didn’t give off much heat, and the radiator beside me was only slightly warm. Everything else was excellent

Siroin of beef was a little bit dry with slightly too much fat/gristle. Was served piled up on top of veg, which is an unusual presentation. Would have preferred it flat on the plate, bathing in gravy, as is traditional.
Meat was tasty however and tender enough. Gravy very tasty and veg well cooked, retaining flavour and texture. Overall a good, hearty meal in comfortable surroundings.

The service was very slow. We were completely ignored at our table for about 20 mins. At that point someone came to take our food order. We had to ask for drinks so no order had been taken.
We thought the food was disappointing. It gave the impression that it was prepacked and just heated through
. This may or may not have been the case.
I come to the Glazert regularly with friends for lunch and we are usually very impressed with everything.
It was in the strength of this that I decided to bring my family group.
I don’t think we would return as a family group in the future.
Putting that visit aside, I would like to see far more healthy options on the menu because really that’s the only way that I would come back again for an evening meal.

Food was lovely. We where in back restaurant need some updated work and cleaned. Snort on window and cobwebs. Because in back had to wait for service longer than front and bar. But did not put us off we will be back. Just the front end.
