We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel last weekend. The hotel and its setting was delightful and the staff who looked after us in Reception and in the restaurant could not have been more helpful. Our waiter at dinner was particularly helpful and informative in his description of the hotel's history and his obvious pride and interest in the design and architecture of the building were evident. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious and, again, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff made it a pleasure to interact with them. We'd booked a "cosy" (according to the hotel's description) double room and were pleasantly surprised to find that, although it was not large, it was not too small either and the bathroom and coffee/tea supplies were excellent. It was very good value for money. We will definitely recommend the hotel to others.

Myself & my husband just spent 3 nights at Knockderry house and had a wonderful stay. The staff were all lovely, professional, friendly and immediately made us feel at home. The food was incredible... every mouthful was a delight. Would highly recommend as a great weekend away treat.

The staff are exceptional and did their best to make everyones stay in Knottderry House something to treasure.
However, whilst the style and features of the house are excellent, the building itself is beginning to look and feel a little 'tired' in places and is in the nead of somec TLC. For example the dinning room has mouldy patch on the ceiling and there is a loose end of paper hanging down, also some of the glazing beads appear to have deteriorated and are coming loose and need urgent remediation works to maintain their longevity

The restaurant is a little pricey but the quality of the food is excellent. Taking into consideration the cost of wines, be prepared to pay 10% to 15% more than similar establishments that are not quite so remote.

We had a wonderful time - the house is very comfortable, clean, lovely bed, and the staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. A genuinely dog-friendly hotel. The breakfasts were delicious. Evening meals were a bit more variable. In the spirit of what I hope will be helpful feedback (because we had a lovely stay and hope to return!) I think it's not the cooking (as above I don't think I've had better breakfasts anywhere) so much as the menu - the dishes were quite elaborate with a lot going on and saucing. Sometimes it worked better than others.

We stayed at Knockderry House last week. We took our dog with us. There are great dog walks in the area.
The rooms were lovely, clean, warm, and dog friendly.
Dogs are provided with a bowl, treat and a towel.
We ate in the restaurant- all staff were very kind, friendly and knowledgeable regarding food and wine. The food was amazing. The best chicken ballotine I have ever had!
We will definitely be returning. to stay again. I would certainly recommend anyone to stay here- dogs are most welcome.

We always receive the warmest of welcomes from the Knockderry team - they are all so engaging and helpful. Our bedroom was large and very well appointed with great views and dog friendly!
The food was excellent as was the wine list. We will most certainly be back again!

Very nice place to stay, with a lot of charm in an old Victorian house. Our bedroom was super and the staff were friendly and helpful. One slight problem was that our bathhad no hot water in the evening or the next morning, but the shower and basin had hot water. Lovely view over the loch. Recommended as a nice place to stay overnight.

We booked a classic doble at Knockderry House. Inclusive breakfast and 3 course dinner , prepaid GBP 264. When we arrived we were told that there was a maximum of GBP 35 each included for dinner. We were very surprised!!
We celebrated my wifes 50th birtday, and we were served prosecco on the house, that was nice.
