Very friendly and professional welcome and service. Food was superb. His combination of flavours and the pickled courgette just so different and refreshing. Perhaps some background music as we were submitted to a very loud talking table behind us.

Delightful and inventive menu using locally sourced ingredients. The rib of beef and lemon sole were to die for. The manager and waitress were attentive without being intrusive and the ambience was lovely - low key and unpretentious. The soufflé was perfect.

Excellent food - good portions, menu and fantastic execution. Very relaxed and service spot on.
The only annoyance was expecting you to get your mobile phones out, log onto their wifii first as no phone signal in order to scan the QR code to look at the menu and wine list. Fine dining to me means phones turned off. Rather bizarre and not good start to meal but owner did bring us the wine menu over on her iPad - perhaps need more of this if don’t want to have paper menus.

The food was exceptional and the fish dishes were deliciously fresh. The service was very good and the dishes were clearly explained and beautifully presented. The house white wine was good value but high quality. Overall the meal including amuse-bouches and petits fours with coffee was great value. I dined alone but the servers and other diners were friendly and happy to chat. I am so happy to have had the chance to eat here and would thoroughly recommend it.

I can’t recommend The Whitehouse Restaurant highly enough. We went for lunch having been unable to get a booking when we were in the area previously. As it was lunch the menu was more restricted but when I asked if I could have one of the starters on the dinner menu the chef obliged without question. I can only describe the food as faultless and full of interesting flavours in every mouthful. We will definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

We had a spectacular meal at The Whitehouse while we were in holiday in Kingairloch.
There was a lovely warm welcome and our dogs were welcomed too.
Beautiful presentation of food and delicious flavours across all 3 courses. We would highly recommend you visit Agi and Chris and see and taste for yourself what they offer.

Absolutely delighted with he experience...did not disappoint...Service was a tad slow, but the inevitable result of the positives of a caring small friendly bespoke restaurant being very popular and busy. Slightly slower service for these reasons is more than forgivable...and the ambiance helped our table chat to sparkle in between courses. If you have the means, book early!!

An all round excellent, delicious and happy experience. Food flavours were superb - clean and refreshing to the palate. The dishes were also innovative. The main course of truffle stuffed chicken was a particularly generous serving. A tight, well selected wine list mainly sourced I believe from Corney & Barrow. The service is always attentive. The menu - excellent value. We’ve booked again.

The food that we had was tasty but nothing very special apart from the entree which was creamed cauliflower and crispy garlic, and a very small menu only 3choices . The bottle of rose wine that we drank was actually very tasty. The 2ladies serving in the restaurant were very pleasant and attentive.

I don't know if there was some sort of problem in the kitchen, no explanation or apology was made, but there was a long hiatus when nothing was happening at any of the tables. This is the only reason for not being 10/10 across the board.

Expensive but as an occasional treat worth it and we enjoyed the extended time we had with the 3 course menu. The food was very different from the usual. Well presented and different flavours. Decor and furniture is rather ‘dated’, but worse is the rather cramped arrangement of tables, especially the middle ones with the very odd ‘windows’ through to the adjacent room. Essentially, I found myself sitting right next to a slightly loud customer, separated only by a half wall. Not great for concentrating on one’s table companion.

It is a 'fine dining' but on a set menu. The chef aimed to combine European and Eastern Asian flavours and influences, however the end result tended to be overwhelming, and the flavours were often indistinguishable. The restaurant was cosy and hospitable, and we were warmly welcomed.
