We recently visited the Uplawmoor Hotel and had the Sunday roast, which was absolutely delicious. The flavorful roast paired with the delectable sticky toffee pudding made for a satisfying meal that left me wanting more. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were also incredibly lovely, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend a visit to the Uplawmoor Hotel for a delightful culinary experience.

Took my granddaughter for lunch and also the Easter activities they had on. Lunch was excellent, great prices. The Easter bunny was also there and there was face painting, egg decorating, colouring and biscuit decorating for the children unfortunately we had to leave before the Easter egg hunt but it was a lovely couple of hours.

Fantastic service and lovely food! only compliant is where we were sitting there was a speaker right above us which was loud for us (don’t think it would have bothered the other tables) however food and service more than make up for this! the server James was an absolute star, as was Karen (all staff were lovely), they really made our night! talked to my son about santa and even gave him a gift! they were just fabulous!

After being taken over by new owners I wasn’t sure what to expect; but one of the new owners was going around the tables and chatting with regulars to see what experience they would love to have at Uplawmoor, he assured us that all previous staff were staying and that he would only be adding to the rota, as usual the food was incredible, especially for the value, looking forward to seeing any changes on our next visits!

Excellent service and food was very good. At our time of dining there was a table who could be overheard complaining about a dish. The suggestion could be made to customers when ordering if anyone has any allergies. Then this would safe the server from any hassle. They can I turn advise the chef and kitchen. Otherwise our experience was first class.

The food was very good. There was a lot of confusion over the ordering/what was available. Once we ordered and waited a little bit we were then informed that what we ordered was not available from the kids menu (there were only 3 starter options so quite bad planning to be missing one of those 3 items). We settled on soup so the wait was not any longer as we were all hungry. I think the server was possibly new but there was a definite lack of communication happening between the table and the server and we were left unsure what was happening on a couple of occasions.
Based on how much we enjoyed the food we would definitely return again.

First time dining at the hotel after a recommendation from a friend. Really enjoyed our lunch, good choice for kids quick and friendly service. Fish and chips was delicious, super crispy batter! Ice cream sundaes absolutely phenomenal.
Bit strange to be "face to face" with another group of diners in the middle of the restaurant. But good that the place was busy.
Look forward to returning. Wonder if there's thoughts about a set lunch menu or a Sunday roast in the future??

The venue is nice and comfortable, service is excellent can’t fault it at all. The taster menu (£10 Facebook) soup was overly salty, the bread on the bruschetta was burned around the edges and overpowered by the amount of onion. The mash was like a purée. The macaroni tasted amazing but could have been slightly thicker but tasted lovely. Overall for £10 the value was ok. I would come back for the Mac and cheese.

The food could have been warmer the chips weren't very warm and both desserts were almost cold. Main courses were nice. Special offers of 2 meals for £25 would be good. The service was good.

Feel the portions much smaller than used to be.
Service wasn’t great- took a while to be offered menus. When taking drinks orders kept forgetting to ask my husband.
Was a Halloween quiz on which was a good laugh and made the night

The restaurant is dated and badly needs a refurb and was a bit cold and uninviting.
Bar might have been a better option for a meal.
Food was good albeit it was disappointing to find that there was food on the menu which turned out to be unavailable only after I ordered it .

Haven’t been back since it was taken over. We went for the lunch special which was very ordinary. I think a bit more imagination has to go into this. eg Macaroni and steak pie!! I will be back to try something from the larger menu.

Disappointing fries with the burger. No mussels available. The new lighter unbranded mayo and ketchup aren't a good change.

The service was amazing, the food was ok but not as good as it’s been in the past.The restaurant had no atmosphere and was very cold but we were the only people in it, to be fare we normally eat in the bar where the atmosphere in normally really good, but to be fair it was me that book the wrong place on-line.
We did not ask to be moved as we didn’t want to be a bother but I feel to be honest would have been not a problem. But we will no doubt be back but definitely in the bar. Thank you so much to the waitress that served us.
