I love this restaurant. It is hands down and by far the BEST restaurant in Mackay. The food is always excellent and the service is friendly and knowledgeable. The wine list is brilliant!! Porchetta to start, Brilliant. Gnocchi is an absolute favourite and do not miss the affogato with walnut liqueur for dessert! Sublime!!

What a wonderful night! Our table staff were so efficient and we received our food and drinks without waiting, (and it was a full house! ) we all enjoyed the entrees tapas, the flavours of each piece on the plate just complimented each other wonderfully!! Also, our main meals were ordered and brought out at the same time so we all could eat our meals together as a family! ( a perfect touch we all thought!) Such a great experience and our meals were all delicious. Definitely coming back again soon!

Il Bacco has long been one of my favourite restaurants. Guiseppe is from Sicily and grew up in the food business and it shows. Th e menu is simple, but with plenty of variety. All dishes are authentically Italian as is the beverage menu. The only minor gripe that I have is that the menu does take a while to change.

Food was great , very flavorful. Ambience was okay, when you have an open kitchen, staff need to appear professional or working at all times. That's the draw back of open kitchens, but if you ever seen tepenyaki, they make a show of their cooking. A lot of open space, might need more objects to make it appear more cosy. Otherwise it looks cold , open, and bland
