It was a marvelous time!! The decor and the chandeliers were beautiful, my drink (hurricane) and my food (creole pasta) was absolutely delicious and presentation was gorgeous. Definitely will be coming back and recommend to others. Only suggestion would be more jazz music

Was VALENTINE'S DAY and you sat us in a really tight area with a wobbly table. Our server was polite when she had time or remembered to come back to the table. The other server you had was to large to fit between the tables and kept bumping me and my chair with no excuse me or apology. Didn't even bother to ask the two arrogant girls next to us to move their seat in once inch so she could squeeze by easier. She hit our table so hard one time it almost knocked our wine bottle over. Rice was dry and hard, vegetables undercooked and med rare steak was med well. Full house with only one good server won't cut it. Fire the rude girl and keep Hattie. Expensive dining on a holiday and just a really horrible experience. As long as this rude girl works there, we won't be back and we'll tell everyone we know to not go there either. Do better!

My husband and I had a terrific Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras celebration last night at Garden District. I had Étouffée with French bread and a Hurricane drink. My husband ordered a shrimp Poboy with a side of red beans and rice and an Abita Springs beer. We also enjoyed the King Cake for dessert and got the baby and a 50% off coupon! Our waitress was exceptional. When we go to GD we feel like we’ve gone back to New Orleans with the decor, music, and outstanding Cajun Cuisine. Happy 1 year anniversary, and I hope this restaurant is blessed and continues to provide such excellent food for many years to come.

This was our (my wife and I) first time there and we were referred by a friend. The food was delicious (I could have used a little more meat in my jambalaya), especially the Crawfish Beignets, and the service we had was great. The waitress was very helpful with the menu and her kind demeanor made our date night all the more special. We can't wait to come again to try the rest of the menu.

Everything was delicious, but I thought there was a little too much rice in the red beans and rice. The crawfish beignets were fantastic! Also, we moved our table for 2 as close to the wall as we could as people were bumping into my husband. We had the table by the corner of the bar between 2 four tops. Our server was delightful and very helpful. We will be back. FYI - our first time and we came because we had tickets to Civic Theatre and decided to try you out with the promotion offered.

To Raphael: we love your restaurant; the food outstanding and the staff first class. We were very impressed when, on our first visit, you came to our table and welcomed us. You enjoined us to come back often, and so we have. However, in the spirit of wanting you part of our community for many years to come, I would recommend you review your beverage pricing - specifically beer. On Wednesday night, I introduced 2 very good friends to your restaurant, and each ordered 2 Stella Artois along with their meal. When the bill arrived, they saw that 2 beers cost as much as their entrees - each beer costing $10. As they both dine out often, they understand value - and this isn't it. Unfortunately, it will be awhile before they return.

Most of the food was delicious! The creamy creole pasta and the jambalaya were amazing. The brisket po boy’s fries were cold. The kids meals were seriously lacking for the price. We would have flagged down the waiter to ask for fresh fries but she was nowhere to be seen. The restaurant wasn’t super busy when we were there so I’m honestly not sure how it took almost 30 minutes for us to get our food. If we were to order again we would get take out just for the adults because, with two young kids, 30+ min ticket times isn’t doable and then when the food does come for them it’s pretty cold and boxed mac and cheese... Really wanted to enjoy the spot but these things made it difficult.

Mostly I'm annoyed that the reservation sets a time limit. It wasn't busy and I imagine they wouldn't have kicked us out if we took more than 90 minutes, but it just ruined any feeling of hospitality I might have otherwise felt (which is a key ingredient of any restaurant of course but CERTAINLY a southern one.
