Extraordinary little place with amazing food and a top notch staff.
White & Wood NEVER disappoints. The lamb is the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The service is flawless. We are lucky to have this restaurant in Greensboro.
Warm and safe dining on the outdoor “parklet.” Attentive personal service. A rare treat in these tough times!
Always great food and atmosphere at White & Wood.
Our server was passionate and knowledgeable about the food. Service was great and engaging with complementary champagne for our anniversary. Fun menu. Already have recommended it. Great find!
We had a wonderful experience. The food was great and the service good. The chef is very Talented and we enjoyed everything we had.
Amazing service and food!
We were a group of 6 people who had not seen each other in a couple of years, so we talked & laughed a lot. Our server read the group well & realized when we were ready to order. He provided a fun dining experience and he was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was amazing and the drinks were outstanding! A definite must when in downtown Greensboro or for that matter, the state of NC.
As always it was phenomenal. The food and service could not have been better! Actually I'm having the leftovers for lunch today.
Incredible gem in the heart of downtown Greensboro. The gin & tonic library is ridiculously perfect. The menu is obviously created by people who love what they do. All precautions are taken seriously for Covid concerns, our whole party felt like this was possibly the safest dining experience we’d had. Thank you White & Wood for a memorable evening!
Inspired food, great cocktails, killer wine list. What's not to love?
3rd time there. We sat outside with my date. Loved the check list for covid before dinner (temp check, all employees with masks etc.)...the ONLY down fall was there was the vast amount of people walking while we were trying to have dinner...some were loud and were spraying....otherwise..food delish..service fantastic..atmoshere love love...
Sat outside and they did a good job of blocking it off from the street and pedestrians for the most part. And they had plenty of heaters to keep us comfortable on a cool evening.
The oysters on the half-shell are amazing, White & Wood has a house mignonette like none I’ve experienced. We thoroughly enjoyed the chef’s selection of cheese and cured meats. Be sure to try the “smoking thyme” cocktail.
Best lamb shank and pototoe salald I have eating in many years. Perfect first time out since Covid hit.
Cool modern atmosphere, top tier wine selection and a well curated bar, and excellent food. Fine dining experience with none of the pretentiousness. Also excited to go back for drinks and a charcuterie board with that excellent whiskey and wine selection and great atmosphere.
Absolutely amazing! Love the place and the patio is great!
Always the very best! Food, drinks and wine are superb!
We had a fantastic time. The service was tremendous and we felt very much “at home” and relaxed. Thank you for a great night out!
We loved the restaurant and the atmosphere and the food. The quality was on par with our fave SF restaurants. We appreciate the creativity, quality of produce, etc.
Thank you for making the Parklet so beautiful.
Fantastic food, wonderful recommendations, safe and comfortable!
Exceptional food, service and atmosphere, always love dining here
We loved the outdoor parklet dining experience!
The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive to any needs. They did a great job with COVID protocols. My only suggestion would be to have more variety on the menu. It seemed to be heavy on seafood. I am not a seafood lover, but the entree I had (non-seafood) was delicious.
Our all time Greensboro favorite and definitely up there regardless of location. We believe that they have raised the dining bar in Greensboro constantly. The food and people originally brought us to White and Wood and keep us coming back.
The lamb and scallops were spectacular.
Great job for creating an outdoor space that addresses safety from Covid and street traffic (planters), ambiance (umbrellas), and comfort (fans) The only negative was our testy waiter. We were extra patient because we understand the stress during this time, but he was not pleasant.
All delicious!! Suggest eliminating balsamic vinegar from olive oil cake. Especially liked the Cannolis. Wonderful sauce with the scallops. Wife could live on the incredible prime rib burger
The staff was wonderful. Everyone's food was delicious. And in the middle of the strangest times of our lives it was nice to get out and be around friends and enjoy a wonderful meal. They have a beautiful new outdoor seating area that is the nicest that Greensboro has downtown. You really do feel like you're in a big city. I
Always great
The owners were extremely hands on with service and hospitality. The food was incredible. We had the 3 course option, well worth the price. My lamb was overwhelmingly juicy and succulent. The oysters however were the highlight of the evening. Never have I had oysters so fresh and so delicious this far inland. The hogwash was AMAZING! For my brothers birthday we requested an oyster shooter, the bartender greeted us at our table with our drinks and quietly awaited our review of our special order cocktail (perfectly crafted). The professional demeanor of the staff goes hand in hand with the beautiful atmosphere and amazing food. I’d go as far as to say white and wood gave me and my family one of the best dining experiences of my life.
Excellent service and waiter! Food was great. The charcuterie board was great, but I felt a bit pricey. Loved our meal!
We had a wonderful dinner! The food and service were terrific
Service took a little bit too long, had to ask 2nd time to get drinks. Food was great though along with everything else
Enjoyed dinner with a friend - our first time dining at White and Wood. Was greeted warmly by the host and seated for our reservation promptly. The menu is limited, unsure if this is due to just re-opening during Covid or their standard fare - but don't let that deter you. The food is FANTASTIC. We took advantage of the prix-fix menu and started with watermelon/tomato salad and shrimp caesar. Both wonderul. For entrees we had the scallops and halibut. The scallops were perfectly cooked, however in my opinion - there was a little too much flavor happening in both the red pepper coulis and bed of corn - but still, overall super delicious. The halibut was perfect! Desserts were fab - we split the olive oil cake and Panna Cotta, with the latter being my favorite. My only area for improvement would be the price-point. $160 for dinner for two (without alcohol) is a bit exorbitant for Greensboro. But - the restaurant was full and folks don't seem to mind - so there you have it! All in all a great meal and will definitely go back!
No steak in Greensboro is worth 54 dollars, sorry guys.
Service was ok, a bit slow! Waiter did a fair job, seemed always a step behind. Food was fabulous!!! Enjoyed the special 3 course deal. Would love to see this special offered again. Thank. You
White and Wood has excellent food that mixes flavors and textures in different and surprising ways. Their mixed drinks are different and outstanding. While the food was excellent, the service was slow. Despite the fact that the restaurant was restricting tables to maintain social distancing, there was still a long time between each course.
I ordered a slightly dirty martini it came out nearly green from so much olive juice. I did chefs choice on cheese board I chose a tripple cream and the choices they made were very similar to mine which was disappointing you want more variety in board. They meat parings were even more strange - spicy sopresea with soft cheese seemed odd.
The food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Our waiter was very nice and attentive but there was a huge mix up with the online menu (which we had to scan and order). He kept coming back to the table and saying that the item we ordered had changed due to their new menu which was "changing over." It was very confusing to know what exactly we were ordering and then what we got. For example the Ahi Tuna had changed to the Whitefish (which was delicious), the soup was different and I'm pretty sure the lamp chop I ordered ended up being a shank (which was also delicious.) The desserts were equally as confusing and delicious. Not sure what we ended up with but we loved it. Just a little too much stress for a $200 meal for 3 people. Also, they didn't have any coffee to go with my dessert. Really?? Despite all this, we did enjoy the meal and loved the atmosphere and will probably return, just being more careful to ask questions about the menu and pay closer attention to the prices. With a few tweaks, White & Wood would be a hands-down, elegant food standout.
