Loved Big Pete's Steakhouse. The luxury feeling exhumes the second you walk through the door. The venue is stunning with a cozy yet fresh feel, the bar takes your breath away with the uniqueness of the light & marble paired together. The chairs are comfy, and the view of the golf course is beautiful especially watching the sun set. Our main server Bailey was awesome; however, all the servers were excellent and helped each other out. My only very minor issue, apps all came at once when we ordered 3 different apps to try. My mistake, I should have asked my server to space the apps so the soup would come out first, then the salad then the sliders instead of them all showing up at the same time. All excellent! The portions are very healthy, so when the mains arrived, I wasn't very hungry. Rookie mistake but worth it as the French Onion soup was really beefy and tasty, also the perfect temperature so I could eat it without having to wait 20 mins for it to cool off or add ice. The Ceasar salad was delish with Big Pete's own twist with the breaded egg, and the Beef Sliders, yummy! The sliders came in 3, the 3 of us shared, I had 1, perfect size to go along with the soup and a shared salad with my husband, again as the portions are generous. I ordered the Short Rib, so good but certainly had to take home 3/4 of it due to the apps making me way to happy and full. Husbands Prime Rib, he said it was excellent and seasoned to perfection, my sister-in-law ordered the chicken, she said it was delicious and very moist. All of us enjoyed our dining experience. We were all way to full for dessert but let me tell you, there will be a next time! If you're looking for a GREAT steak, there is plenty of different steak options available on the menu, at all different price points to suit everyone's desires. We have Brunch on the radar to try next! Go and enjoy, treat yourself to a nice experience and great meal!

Unfortunately our waitress was very difficult an un informed I was displease that we had to rely on other servers to help us out she told us no substitute to the menu when I could see other tables receiving scramble eggs instead of fried ect. Rarely came to refill drinks food arrived cold long waits. Even though it was fathers day dining room wasn't busy at the time we were there.

I happened to have dinner at Big Pete's 3 times over a period of 7 days. My wife and I had dinner for our anniversary on Friday the 20th - we had excellent service and our waitress was Carry. She was amazing and very personable and all around a great waitress. We had an excellent meal - to the point of perfection. On Thursday, I had dinner with friends for a going away dinner for their son. Again, excellent meal, excellent service. On Friday, we had dinner with another couple - for what ever reason - things weren't as good as they were the two previous meals. Portion size for our meals was lacking. A few things were forgotten, and I tried the asparagus side which I found to be completely underwhelming. Again, my expectations were high due to past visits. We are steakhouse eaters. Your steakhouse is on par with anything in Toronto, and amazing - especially for our area - we live in Port Dover. Your wine list is extensive - and has several very reasonable choices. One major thing I would suggest for the restaurant overall, is, this. BTW, I totally understand employees are hard to come by - but something for the future. You should have someone (either the manager, or secondary waiter), go around and speak to the customers about the cuts of meat - most of your customers do not understand the significance, and rarity of the cuts that you have at your restaurant. We actually attended your restaurant back in July with 12 of our friends - I literally had to go around and explain each cut of beef, and what characteristics they have, and how rare and difficult it is to obtain these cuts. Really my only compliant would be that - and it's more of a suggestion in the future. Again, I'm totally impressed with this restaurant and will continue to go for special occasions.

Extremely disappointed in my $95 steak. I was so excited to try it to celebrate my 50th birthday but it definitely wasn’t worth it. Bland and nothing special. I have made better, cheap steak at home. This was my first visit and will likely be my last.

The food is always divine, and the ambiance is beautiful. Server was good, but the only thing was, she asked if we knew how much the California Striploin was ($30/oz), which I understand is probably a concern for some people, so she was tyring to be helpful - but it came across as though she doubted we could afford it, and somewhat offensive.

Service was prompt and we didn't feel rushed. Shared appetizer was tasty and a bit unique. Steaks were perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, but the peppercorn NY strip was very disappointing. It was full of sinew and more like a $7 AA grocery store steak. Serving staff didn't check back until we were finished our steaks. Desserts were excellent. Ambiance was very nice except for the golfers eating and drinking at the bar being loud with foul language.

Table for 4 celebrating our anniversary. Beautiful setting and room with wonderful views.loud music was playing near the bar area which was not the atmosphere we expected for a fine dinning setting. Our server was Carrie who was beyond a ten, she was attentive and gave amazing service. Thank you Food - all 4 ordered Prime rib. 3 were a perfect medium, although they were not necessarily served warm or hot. The 4 th was ordered medium well and was definitely a well done piece. Flat more like a rib eye steak as well. They were all tender to taste. Side vegetables were all delicious but the French onion soup was left after a try. It was broth-less and onion less…it was all bread with almost a cinnamon flavour. Not the luxurious beef flavour expected. No mention of our anniversary so not sure why they asked in reservation if it was a special occasion. We did have a lovely evening with our friends and wonderful service. Will return to try the salmon next time.

Did not have a great experience for Mother’s Day brunch within big Pete’s steakhouse. It took us 1/2hr for a server to come to our table to give us a menu and ask for drinks. And that only happened because my boyfriend went and hunted down a waitress. On top of that by the time we received our first round of food that was supposed to be all you can eat had already been over an hour and by the time we had our second order it was already 2.5hrs in. Since the service was so poor and the time was incredibly lengthy we decided to leave. Overall for the service, it was a very poor dining experience. The place is beautiful and the menu was great, however new staff or more experienced staff would’ve made this experience a lot better and live up to the prestige of Monthill.

We had a fantastic time at Big Pete's Steakhouse!!! Our server was the best, very knowledgeable, informative, she even let us move our table to the one in front on the fireplace. The view was spectacular on a clear, blue sky evening, the course looks super. Our food was so delicious (I had the NY Strip peppercorn steak), beautifully presented and lots, that I could enjoy again the next day. And the dessert, what can I say, we saved room!! I would recommend the Peanut Butter Fudge cake. I will definitely be back

Our family of 6 was celebrating many significant birthdays and other important life events. We had the restaurant to ourselves for about 45 minutes, so that was lovely, and we had the table in front of the fireplace, which we really enjoyed. I truly enjoy the venue. It is beautiful. I have golfed there and have had lunch down stairs a few times. Today, I was entertaining a very good customer who I believe was a bit disappointed that we could not get a steak at a steak house. I have to agree it was disappointing. My fault I guess, I should have read the menue and not assumed. Even if there was a lunch filet it would make sense for a steak house. Also given the time of year having a shrimp cocktail or some seafood would have been nice. Regards.

This review is in comparison with previous visits . Food: meat on sliders was undercook, skin on the chicken was very salty ( but we decided not to complain) Service : long waiting for main course dishes Atmosphere- very loud ,lack of privacy. Value : overpriced .

Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Came around the table several times throughout our lunch to make sure everything was good. I ordered the Cesar salad which was fantastic, as well as the cheeseburger eggs rolls. The inside was pretty boring, just ground beef and a little seasoning. They call them cheeseburger egg rolls, so I assumed there would be some sort of cheese in the inside, which there is not. I would give that dish a 6/10.

Delicious Valentines Day menu. We absolutely loved the food. The appetizer we chose was a heart shaped baked brie with berries. I have had many iterations of this dish before but this was the best. The mixed berries were bright and had just the right amount of acid to complement the richness of the brie. The second course was Beef tataki for my partner and short rib ravioli for me. My partner really enjoyed his. My pasta was cooked perfectly but the dish was way too salty. I couldn't taste any other flavour. The short rib was a bit stringy. Our main was perfect. We shared chateaubriand surf and turf. Excellent beef, lobster tails and beautifully cooked vegetables. For dessert we each had the poached pears. Nicely cooked, not turned to mush as they often are. However the ice cream was so melted as to be just a sauce. Portions were very generous and we had trouble finishing. Overall, really tasty.Service was just adequate. It appeared to be understaffed and with new servers. My water glass was dirty and I had to ask to have it replaced. We both ordered the same cocktail but one came and not the other. We had to remind the server about the second cocktail and when she fetched it, it was OK but a bit watery due to ice melt. During the meal we asked several times for pepper but never saw it. Our used cutlery was removed after the appetizer (as it should) but we had to request twice to have it replaced while we waited with our second courses. The server seemed to think we should have kept our used cutlery for the entire meal. While we were about 1/3 through our main course, dessert arrived. The Kitchen Runner (?) realized they had jumped to the gun and took it back. Pete's Place is a lovely restaurant but I thought they might have decorated for Valentines Day since they were offering a special menu. It would have been nice to include a gift like a rose or a chocolate or something. Nice background music would have been appreciated.

The host initially placed us (my elderly parents, husband and myself) in an open area as the rain poured down. We were getting sopping wet, and cold! However, another server made note and promptly moved us upon request (male). Our main host was absolutely exceptional. Her customer service was impeccable I am saddened I didn't grab a name, she should certainly be recognized for her efforts.
