Really friendly staff, made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for hours talking. They didn't mind. Food was lovely. And although the kitchen had officially closed, because the chef was still on the premises he kindly made us a last minute/change of mind dessert. Really good value for money. We will return. My only negative was the roast potatoes, zero ‘flavour’, perhaps some seasoning would have added value to them. A minor point but hopefully it helps.

Lovely food, as always, good atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff. We arrived 10 minutes early, but our table was ready and we were seated immediately. Great roast beef dinner and 3 meat roast dinner, lovely choice of vegetables, super thick gravy. I would have liked an extra roast potato, but there were boiled potatoes with the veg platter, so didn't really miss out and would have liked a little pot of extra gravy, but didn't want to bother the team, as we were more than half way through our meal.
Desserts always look lovely, but can never manage to have one each, as we're usually too full after the roast, but we did share one this time, it was fantastic. Thank you to all of the team for another great meal ;-)

Friendly staff, good service. Meal size adequate. Good to have a couple of different meals on the separate menu so you are not always choosing from the main menu which is quite standard for pubs.

First time for half of our party of 4 and we’re not disappointed. Booked Sunday lunch for 2oclock and table was ready ahead of time. Have no negatives at all. Food, service and ambience just perfect for a wet Sunday lunchtime get together. (Next time we may not consume all 3 courses quite so greedily and find ourselves having drinks by the delightful fire in bar. Excellent will be back just to add ALL food was freshly prepared and very tasty and well cooked

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch. We were made to feel welcome and the food was excellent - possibly the best roast beef dinner I have eaten. Excellent value for money too.
