- "Yes, we do. We would only require a pre-order to be sent at least 72 hours prior to arrival. Can you accommodate large events (weddings, funerals, birthday parties)? Yes, we do have a Wishing Well Suite that you can use exclusively for your party. It accommodates a maximum of 50 guests and our beer garden with pied-aways can accommodate 100 guests. Deposits and Pre-Orders will be required."
- How do I cancel a booking?
- We would appreciate if you could please Ring us or notify the cancellation using the reminder email sent to you via Table Agent at least 48 hours prior to the arrival date and time.
- Do you have space for motorhomes?
- Yes, we do. However we advise arriving earlier than 5pm (rush hour) to make sure you secure a spot on our parking area. Do you have electric charging points for motorhomes? Yes, we do. We usually charge £15 per night, but will be free if you dine in the restaurant.
- When is the big ugly challenge and how do I book?
- We do the Big Ugly Burger Challenge every last Thursday of the month. BUB Challenge is £30 per person to enter, get £20 back if you master the challenge in 30 minutes. A deposit of £10 is required for every participant.
- Do you have wheelchair access?
- Yes both our restaurant and accommodation has wheelchair access.
- Can we order a pie for takeaway?
- Yes, you can. You can place an order for delivery or pick up on this link: https://www.madaboutpies.co.uk/

Very welcoming pub with a good range of beers and superb service. Food is of the highest quality... We had the lamb shank and it was perfectly cooked. Service was excellent, and with a bowl of water being brought for our dogs without asking. An outstanding experience all round.

This was our first visit to The Farmers Boy, having driven past over many years on journeys to & from Gloucester. If only we had known just how excellent the hospitality is we would by now have become regulars. As they say “It’s never too late to join the party”
We selected a Steak & Burger from the menu, which arrived in good time & were outstanding. Both cooked to perfection, portion size was generous with appropriate accompaniments.
I have enjoyed many burgers from various purveyors, claiming superiority of their offering, however the Farmers Boy “Prime 100% British Beef Burger” is the juiciest, most succulent, flavoursome, I have ever eaten. Thank you Chef, an absolute triumph.
Needless to say we will return….very soon….very soon indeed…
If you’re thinking of visiting, stop procrastinating, don’t waste any more time, go & see what you’ve been missing.

The FMI is one of our favourite places to eat, even though we aren't local, the drive is always worth it.
We always get a warm welcome on arrival, great service and delicious food wether it's our favourite pies or a good roast dinner on a Sunday and the yummiest of cheesecakes ever !
Great selection on the food & drinks menu, warm cosy ambience, happy staff which is always lovely to see.

WOW! what a beautiful & lovely place, i was on my holiday, it was recommended to go by my host at the location i stayed at, - The bartender was welcoming & friendly, he went above and beyond to make my experience as good as it could be. i had puppy with me as well and they didn't make that a problem. What a fabulous lunch we had! The sun was shining on our garden lunch with a very special friend who has recently moved to this beautiful part of the country!
We put our car on charge in the car park whilst we had lunch - how great was that?

Myself, my husband and two friends came to you at lunch time. We all had the steak & ale pie which was absolutely lovely. I had extra black pudding on mine and the meat was mouth watering. The staff were friendly and efficient. We will certainly come back again.

Four of us paid our first visit to The Farmers Boy Inn this afternoon. We had booked a table but were running late and they were happy change the time for us. After a bracing walk up nearby May Hill we arrived for lunch. Lovely old country pub with friendly staff. Really good menu, we could have a Sunday roast or various other meals, including their famous pies. I had a pie, two had roasts and one had a risotto. All really tasty. Desserts were good too, especially the cheesecakes. We could stay after the meal to just chat and relax, no pressure to get out. Will definitely return.

Fabulous meal in a wonderful old atmospheric building. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Superb - we had a guest in our group with a long list of allergies - they took great care to ensure everything was safe to eat - even managed to talk directly to the Chef to advise what we needed to avoid - then surprisingly he made a special sauce to go with the steak - thats proper service! I decided to treat my better half and go out for Halloween dinner. As it was very short notice and the weather was awful I saw an advert on facebook for the farmers boy which is about 5 miles away advertising dinner in the dark. I had a look on Google and saw that there were rooms to stay over. I quickly booked on line.
The whole experience from start to finish was absolutely perfect. The manager and staff couldn’t do enough for us as well the many people that came through the door.
The food was outstanding. We both had their famous pies and will definitely visit again in the near future. Keep up the hard work guys. WELL DONE XXX
