The Keel Row is a pub with a restaurant in Fionnphort on the Isle of Mull, with views across to the island of Iona. Our kitchen specialises in the use of local produce to create delicious plates of food. Our bar serves beers brewed in Argyll as well as more familiar ales from further afield.

Booking Notes:

Booking in the restaurant is from 5.00pm – 8.30pm, the restaurant closes at 10pm. Please vacate your table within 1 hour 45 minutes to accommodate later bookings. To ensure our best service, bookings are limited to 4 people. For larger parties, please email us at [email protected]. Lunches and meals in the pub are not reserved and are subject to availability. We regret that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but are welcome in the pub.

First course was smoked haddock in a scotch quail egg. Absolutely gorgeous. For mains I had their famous sea food selection. There was more smoked salmon than I've ever seen on a single plate, a large crab claw, many king prawns, two langoustine and mackerel pate. Beautiful. We were served by 2 happy and attentive servers who took time to explain the dishes on offer. Many thanks to them. The restaurant was busy, with a great vibe. You can also eat exactly the same menu in the bar area - useful if you have a dog. Thanks to all at the Keel Row

Absolutely fantastic meal. Cosy bar with attentive bar staff. Good range of beers. Chaz, our server, was excellent, had time to chat. All very relaxing. You can tell that the chef has a proper flair, the food was really well prepared. The sea food, as you'd expect from somewhere like this, was great. A real gem.

Keel Row is a place that is very hard to leave. A genuine and warm welcome is given by every member of staff, nothing is too much trouble. Lots of friendly locals and dogs galore. A log burner blazing in the grate, plenty of choice at the bar.. yes we did sample the whiskies. Food was tasty, lovely selection (lots of local seafood) and served hot. There was an impromptu gathering of musicians from Virginia that played for us into the night and other talented locals joined in. How wonderful to find a place that feels like home even though you are many, many miles away from yours. Thank you so much. Ashley and Lesley.

We had a really nice meal at The Keel Row, the starters especially were fantastic (Salmon/Prawn wraps & Ham Hock). The Teenagers said it was the best Fish & Chips they had ever had! The only disappointment was the Cranachan, felt more whipped cream with a few raspberries chucked in & no whiskey flavour! The service was outstanding & overall it was a fabulous meal after an amazing week on Mull

A very pleasant surprise! The exterior view of Keel Row is at best ordinary and does not prepare you for the excellent quality of food and service within. There is a good selection of local beers on draught and a nice menu. I can recommend the Teuchter chicken. The service was excellent and the quality of the food was well above what you might expect of a pub. We ate at Keel Row on successive nights.

We went to the pub twice for dinner during our stay. Both times we had booked a table online, which was no problem. The welcome was always very warm and the waitresses very attentive. The food is delicious and lovingly prepared. Our expectations were exceeded. The atmosphere in the dining room is rather sober and functional. If you wanted to improve something, you could make some improvements here. We would definitely come back and can only recommend Keel Row.

Well, where do I start? There is nothing, absolutely nothing that could have been better, so only suggestion is to keep it going if possible! We had a great welcome, special arrangement made for our group to sit together though tableagent said it wasn't possible. Such beautiful decorations inside and loved the way the dangly lights were round the windows to make it look like icicles round the view outside. Service was great, drinks and food ordered really quickly and smiles all round. Then when our meals arrived, oh, what joy, I've never heard so many oohs and aahs at a gathering. Plentiful servings and I loved the little extra of the cauli/broc gratin, that was sooooo good and unexpected. Only 2 of us had deserts, Jean raved about her black forest and my ice cream was good too. So there you have it and we've all noted the next possible day so will see if we can get the group together again. Thank you all for making it such a special occasion. Hope someone makes you all such a good meal over Christmas!

Friendly staff, nice open restaurant and bar (open fire). Gave food 7 as my husbands fish and chips was excellent but I had the local beef casserole. The sauce was lovely but the beef had not been cooked nearly long enough so was tough. Met someone the next day who had the casserole and made the same comments to me about the toughness.

We were very lucky to get booked, the QR code which links to the booking website is really helpful and useful to be able to book early in the day. We were delighted with the vegan options for dinner, service was excellent in the bar and the restaurant . Good value for money and good experience overall

This is a busy place and the staff never pause in their efforts to serve and assist. There is a good choice on the menu and we chose to have one of the 'specials' - a truly delicious chicken dish - the haggis and potato mash with whisky sauce was so good. The staff had endless patience with overseas visitors and did their best to accommodate requests. Well worth a visit

In all honesty we never expected such great service being a very small place. Welcome was amazing and service and food excellent. Staff were brilliant and overall we all loved it. Sunset was beautiful.
