The food was incredible and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. They moved us to a better seat near the window when one was available and were so accommodating. The new staff they were training were so relaxed; it was a great atmosphere.

A lovely light filled dining space with excellent service and relaxed atmosphere. Food was very good, starters and mains, desserts delicious. Only quibble was the vegetables which accompanied the main course were meagre and dull in comparison with the rest of the meal. Staff were just lovely.

A classy dining room in a beautiful setting on the shores of Scapa. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was superb. We has a waitress in training and she did an amazing job. We will definitely come again on our next trip to Orkney!

We had a lovely evening celebrating a 70th birthday. Enjoyed a table at the window where we saw a hen harrier and a short eared owl flying past. A very good dining experience with excellent food and service.

We had a lovely meal in a nice setting. The food was very good. My only slight complaint was the dificulty in access, I have dificulty in walking and the steps at the front of the resteraunt are not so easy to navigate, though I did manage to use them OK. I found the gents toilet rather cramped as well again due to my own dificulties in manouvering around things.

Alleen jammer dat het uitzicht bedorven wordt door de olieplatforms die er in de baai liggen. Maar afgezien daarvan: zeer aan te raden om hier naartoe te gaan (wel ruim van tevoren reserveren!).

This booking exceeded all expectations. This restaurant really is the premiere venue in Orkney for quality food and service… and the panoramic views over Scapa Bay, especially at sunset are the icing on the cake. Staff were very attentive giving excellent service and really went the extra mile to make my father’s 80th birthday celebration extra special and a night to remember.

All of the above were outstanding. We’ve been traveling in Scotland for 3 weeks and the starters were unique. The beef carpaccio was delectable and the spicy cauliflower chick peas were a great twist on falafel. My wife and I both had the sea bass for our mains. We’d had sea bass at another restaurant the night before and yours was far superior. The fish was wonderfully moist with great flavors. In addition, the veggies were fresh and delicious, as were the tatties. The only flaw was rectified by the server. My wife ordered a Negroni and it came fizzy with soda. Our understanding of Negroni is that it is equal parts gin, vermouth and Campari. The server came back with a new drink that was what she expected and it was good. Thanks

The whole experience of dining at the Foveran was excellent. Just continue with what you are doing and don't change a thing. This was the best meal we have had in a restaurant for a long time. The food, the ambiance and the service were all excellent.

My evening at Foveran was perfect from start to finish. Greeted with friendly staff, the food was excellent and service impeccable. A bright and comfortable dining room with a fantastic view of Scapa Flow. A memorable dining experience.
