We have visited The Foveran for dinner several times and it never disappoints. This time was no different with the standout dish being slow roasted North Ronaldsay lamb which was simply outstanding. The service is excellent and strikes exactly the right balance of being attentive without being overbearing. We'll be back again soon I'm sure.

It was our first visit and it was absolutely fantastic! Couldn't fault a thing, it made for a very special evening celebrating my husband and son's birthdays and was especially special as our son was visiting from England so it made for bagging a memory we will treasure as quality time together.

It was our first time at the Foveran after being recommended it by a friend from Kirkwall. It was a truly fantastic experience from start to finish, the food was top class and it was the best steak i have eaten in a restaurant. The service from the moment we walked in was fantastic the staff were immaculately turned out and nothing was too much trouble, they are a credit to your restaurant.

I took a group of 8 cyclist to the Foveran and a ferry the meal everyone said 'can we come back'. Says it all really. The food was excellent, probably the best I've had on the island and being a guide, I've eaten in almost all the restaurants on Orkney. Service and location were perfect. One very minor point would be the bar staff who seem to take great delight in throwing the empty glass bottles into the bin - from a great height! The clatter slightly spoils the relaxed ambiance of the beautiful lounge area.

As a coeliac I find eating out can be difficult at times but the Foveran have a separate menu with lots of gluten free options. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and the views amazing!

Wonderful food in a fantastic setting. Certainly the best food we've had in Orkney. The service was first class, with staff friendly and attentive without being overly intrusive. Highly recommended!
