We’re located on Kaua'i's sunny South Shore, in Old Koloa Town. From Lihu‘e, take Highway 50 heading south. Turn left onto Maluhia Road (Tree Tunnel), then turn left onto Koloa Road.
La Spezia Restaurant and Wine Bar is a quarter mile down the road, directly across from the Koloa Post Office and adjacent to Big Save.

Food was fantastic. We shared the mushroom gnocchi for our appetizer. So delicious!! I had Nonnas lasagna and my husband had pasta with marinara. He’s very picky about his marinara sauce and this did not disappoint. Probably the best sauce we’ve ever had. The only downside is the noise level. It’s pretty darn noisy. But the food….wonderful!! And the prices are very reasonable! We will go back for sure!

What an unexpected little hidden jewel! The people were fabulous and the food may be my favorite Italian food OF ALL TIME. A small but impressive menu with plenty to tempt even a vegetarian like me! I'm salivating just thinking about our meal! You MUST make reservations!

Service was excellent and welcoming despite us arriving late and almost
closing time.. Food was excellent! We both had wonderful and inventive pasta dishes, very fresh and tasty Caesar salad and we enjoyed focaccia bread with dipping oil. Price very reasonable and atmosphere pleasant. Only thing negative was sign was not lit do we drive by it twice without seeing it. Willinjw next time snd definitely look forward to a return visit!

The Lasagne with Arrabbiata Sauce, the fluffy gnocchi, the Vongole e Gamberetti, the focaccia and the house salad were all perfect! Everything is house made and delicious, including the tiramisu and other deserts. The service was warm, friendly and attentive and the restaurant itself cozy and comfortable. The only thing detracting from a perfect evening were the two tables of guests with unruly and sadly, tech parented children. Unfortunately, there was little the staff could do other than smile and provide their excellent service, which they did with grace. Can’t wait to go back to try more delicious items! Some of the best if not the best food on Kauai! Not to be missed!

Nonna's Lasagne Bolognese was great. Fried Zucchini was tasty!
Service was great. La Spezia was busy and yet we were taken well care of by the staff: They see a need and take care of it. We had 4 different people that either refilled our glass of water took our order, or delivered our food. The building small size makes it noisy. The bartender sipped a little wine which in our state is illegal but he was doing his job and talking to a couple at the bar. He told us the staff will be with us a couple times, we ordered 15 minters after we got there. No official complaints though as every one worked hard and food was great. Delicious!

What a pleasant surprise from the moment we walked in the door. We ate at the bar and loved the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. The house salad was delicious, the perfect balance of flavor in the dressing. My husband enjoyed the meatball appetizer so much, he ordered another. We had the Most Wonderful experience.
It was our first time visiting your restaurant and it's already our New Favorite on Kaua'i. We've lived here for 30+ years and can't believe we haven't been in before. (well there was COVID!)
Anyway, our server was Abby, and she was great. The food was superb, and the Gnocchi was one of my favorite things I've eaten in YEARS. I felt like I was on Top Chef.
The ambiance, the vibe, the friendliness of the staff, the cocktails, everything was spot on!
You will see us again and thank you for a lovely evening. We were celebrating my birthday and your restaurant made it Extra Special and Unforgettable.

Wonderful! The zucchini appetizer with an amazing aioli sauce was grand. Salad was perfect! Tortellini with pesto was fine, though not my favorite. The bolognese sauce with spicy meatballs was dandy. I absolutely loved the tiramisu.
I felt a wee bit rushed at first though and would have preferred waiting on the appetizers until i had finished my drink.
Atmosphere is lovely.

My favorite appetizer, mozzarella cheese wrapped in prosciutto, was excellent as usual, but I was a little disappointed with the pasta with chicken and pancetta in a cream sauce. There was very little pancetta and it was diced so small you had to hunt for it. The flavor of the pancetta simply disappeared.

Food was excellent and really filling. We appreciated our server’s recommendations on what to share as we got to try several different dishes before our entrees. Good wine selection and a perfect Negroni to finish the evening. Good selection for a vegetarian as well. If this is external, the fellow who runs the hotel/dinner shuttle service will take you to/from La Spezia and arrived 5 minutes after calling him for the return to the hotel.

We absolutely love your restaurant, in our 2 weeks coming to Kauai each year we try to be your guests 4 times. This time will be no exception. The Ahi I had on Tuesday night (with asparagus, white wine sauce and fingerling potatoes) was perhaps the best meal I have ever eaten anywhere. Thanks for the outstanding food, service - everything. We were so fortunate to be hosted by Eric for our meal. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We appreciated his description of all of the components of the antipasto platter and our pasta selections, and, most especially, how to properly re-heat the Fettuccini Calabrese ( it was such a generous serving!). He made our visit not simply a night out for dinner, but a culinary experience.

Delicious & worth the wait. Our server Maddie was great with recommendations. From the wine, to the mozzarella Fresca, the lasagna with bolognese and the tiramisu, every item we tried was better than the last. Loved the quaint atmosphere and service was impeccable. Make a reservation NOW!!!

Staff was super nice and receptionist was super accommodating and welcoming. We love this place. The appetizers were awesome. But the pasta was a bit dry and was only okay this time. The eggplant was chewy and the oxtail fett wasn’t as good as we previously had
