Big fans of Anthonies but this was not our best experience. Limited seating due to Covid restrictions forced us to sit outside on a typical hot, humid south Texas summer day which we were not dressed appropriatly for and I was afraid the "Big Ass" fan might blow my wig off. We offered to wait for an inside table but the non-verbal communication made it clear that was not going to happen. Just wish we had known in advance that would likely be our only seating option.
Since I'm on a roll, the shrimp in my scampi, one of my usual favorite menu items, was tough and chewy.
The reservation was made 1 week in advance, we had out of town guests with us and it was my husbands birthday.

We had heard about Anthonie’s from a friend so we thought we would try it for an anniversary celebration. Our waiter was Great . But his helper that brought out the salad went to the wrong table first ! Then just slammed the plate in front of me and just walked off. I think that's a little rude . First time something like that has happen to us there .

Anthonie's NEVER disappoints. Due to the pandemic they even have hand sanitizer the lovely hostesses offer you. The staff is always pleasant and has a wealth of information on the food they're serving up. My sister came to town and we went with her and my brother in law and they loved everything about it. Food is great, ambiance is great, love the place. Appreciate that they are open during the second phase of this coronavirus lockdown situation, and for people who are concerned about getting sick its worth noting you don't sit super close to anyone and all the wait staff and greet staff have on masks. For those who want life to be normal again, it felt pretty normal, thankfully, even with the precautions, because the outside seating at Anthonie's is never particularly crowded to begin with.

Limited menu evidently during the week. I was hoping to get prime rib, but had to get a 16 oz ribeye instead which did not look that size. Meat had gristle and was chewy. Only 3 pieces of asparagus on the side. The food was not what I expected. Better steak at other places. Not anywhere worth $49. This is the 2and time I have eaten here. Atmosphere is good, but not worth paying the ridiculous price for what you get. I will probably not come back.

Shelly, our server, was wonderful. The only concern that we had was the lack of social distancing. The tent out front for people waiting for tables was packed. The bar area had every seat full. We have been to several other restaurants and your restaurant was the only one that we have been to that we didn’t feel that the rules were being followed.

I had heard so many wonderful things about this place I was so excited to have the opportunity to finally go there. Our biggest mistake was to choose to sit on the patio. The flies were unbearable. It was very difficult to eat our meal. Although the waitress was very very nice I felt like she was rushing us and when you spend $200 And you are celebrating your anniversary you want to feel like you enjoyed a relaxed meal. The food was OK. Maybe because I spent the whole time outside batting flies away, maybe because the waitress didn't give us time to finish one course before the other one came. I'm not really sure But to spends that kind of money I would rather go to Perry's

The only complaint is the waiter kept checking to see if we were done with each portion of our meal; would offer a cold beverage (beer) to my husband, however, I had to ask the server to refill my water glass - he once never offered to refill. We came with our Supper Club last Fall for the first time and enjoyed the food and service so much, we drove from Sugar Land to have lunch the other day and it was even better than I remember. I had the Chicken Fettuccine which was mouth watering and my husband had the Shrimp Scampi which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks for such wonderful food and service! We will come back again. And thank you for adhering to all the Covid 19 guidelines.
