I could only manage half of my lunch (shepherd’s pie) so asked for a ‘doggy bag’ to take the rest home. They packed it in a box for me and added some extra peas. I polished it off for my tea. Delicious! Thank you.

The family thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed, warm environment with no pressure to 'eat up' to make room for others. We were all so full that we were glad the walk to the tram stop was downhill !! We shall definitely be back. The only pity was that the film wasn't running as we'd talked about sitting to watch it and relax after our meal.

Fantastic place, food is amazing, carefully crafted and well thought out. Staff are lovely, attentive but not pestering. It can get a smidge noisy, but I guess that's because it's so popular. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Fantastic atmosphere at the Victory but my only comment is that when it is very busy the acoustics make conversation quite difficult which is exacerbated if you're on a big table. I was with a party of 11 during a very busy, noisy service and the width of the table made it almost impossible for anyone to chat easily which impacted the experience of my whole party (first time visitors). They loved the food and surroundings but the inability to converse did put a damper on things. I appreciate this is not something easily remedied but thought it worth mentioning. (I was at the Victory three days later with a smaller party, on a quieter day, and it was brilliant!)

It was great fun. We caught the electric train from Laxey to the Bungalow and back and had a great day out. The food, atmosphere and service were excellent.

This was our first time at Victory Cafe & we will definitely be back. It was very busy, being a bank holiday, which meant that we had to wait a little while for our order, but that was fine as the staff kept checking on us & were very good humoured despite being run off their feet! The food was just what we hoped for: very tasty, hearty & homemade. I would have loved to have tried the lemon steamed pudding, but was far too full. The cafe has a lively, friendly atmosphere - it allows dogs, which is a big plus for me - and I can imagine lots of repeat visits.

I’ve only given 7 for service because it was slow service however we were told at the beginning it would be at last half an hour before we were served food. We ordered two drinks and sat and enjoyed the great ambience. We love this place.. it’s not cheap but great fun.

We both had the steak and ale pie and have to say it was one of the best we have had. The pastry was perfectly done and crusty, whilst the pie was stuffed with so much meat the gravy had to be provided separately. The staff were very warm and welcoming and helped make for an overall good experience

Food was excellent as was the service and setting, the only comment was it took just over an hour for the food to come, which was a long time. A lady did say we wouldn't be long after about 45 mins but it was still a long time. It was worth the wait etc but I'm not sure if there is a way to make it slightly less of a wait, however, we did love it there and would go again.

The service was very slow but I think maybe you were short staffed. The girls were very nice that served us when they did arrive. Overall it was a very different experience will certainly book again. Well done for all that you have achieved at the Victory.
