André’s is a third-generation Kansas City Swiss confectionery is overseen by André’s grandson, Pastry Chef and Chocolatier René Bollier. The Overland Park location is overseen by Brigitte Bollier-Gravino, the daughter of André and Elsbeth Bollier. André’s offers lunch plus pastries, tortes, chocolates and baked goods. Guests will be dining in a traditional Swiss-style Tea Room or on a Heated Patio. Lunch is served from 11am to 2:30 pm, coffees and pastries are served from 10:00am to 11:00am and 2:30pm to 4:30 pm. Our retail store is open from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm - Monday thru Friday. Also, open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday.

All 10s. Only one thing. It was very busy and only 2 waiters. I felt very sorry for them and realize it's the times we are in.
I have been coming to Andre's since 1975. Love it! Bring all my granddaughters for special occasions. I have 6 granddaughters and 3 daughters. We have spent many a good time at Andre's. Monday was my 13 year olds birthday lunch. She couldn't stop looking around to see all the chocolate and desserts. My oldest granddaughter is 28 and she can't wait to come back to Kansas City so we can go to Andre's

My daughter and I love the food at Andres. We usually arrive closer to 11:30 and at 1:00 when we arrived, the dining room was crowded. I'm glad that Andres has good business. The fixed price for the meal has increased making it more of a special occasion restaurant for lunch.

I have been going to Andre's for 40 years, most of them at the location on Main Street, but I have grown quite fond of the location at Hawthorne Plaza and have enjoyed it for several years as well. The meals are always very good and reasonably priced. The pastries are perfect, beautiful and delicious, but the prices of them have gotten so high as to make some of them ridiculous. An example is a small container of the small tea cookies (about a dozen I was told) are now priced at $20! Lovely cookies, but they will have to encrusted with gold before I buy them again.

This was the first time I have dined at Andre's since social distancing and felt very comfortable there. I liked the reservations but we were 20 minutes late in being seated. I loved the new and expanded food choices and the meal was awesome as usual. I appreciated the fact that the desserts didn't come out on the usual tray but were kept behind the counter. I've always loved Andre's and this was no exception.

In general the food was not up to the standard usually Andre's serves. The Bread and Egg Casserole I had was over cooked. The carrot salad was served on the plate with the casserole so the sauces/dressing ran together. Usually the carrot salad is in a dish by itself. Green bean salad was more like green bean soup as beans were floating in the dressing. The others served in my party made no comments about their meals. Service was fine, not exceptional. As for value, this particular time over priced for the meal served.

Servers need to come by tables more often to refill water and coffee cups. It is hard to get their attention to come to the table to refill. Would be nice if we did not have to wave them to come by and interrupt a conversation with the person I am with. Cup sizes are very small about 4 refills is the size of a larger coffee cup.

Andre's always has wonderful food, desserts, nuts, chocolate, etc. Their meals which include entree', drink and dessert are a wonderful value in addition to being delicious. The Andre's in Hawthorne Plaza is very good, but the ambiance that the Andre's on Main Street in Kansas City has is missing. Still, delicious food is available at both locations. I been going to Andre's for 49 years and will continue as long as my old bones can take me there.

Service was a little slow, a lot of people came in when when we got there. We were almost forgot about when we were there. We were not the the only ones that were forgot about. Took for ever to get our order. Once the order was put in it came pretty quick. Just a busy day and short staffed.

Good experience except we had reservations but everything we wanted to order was no longer available and it was 1:00 PM. It was my friends birthday and she was looking forward to the salmon salad and it was no longer available, then when it came to dessert there was no chocolate dessert available and this was explained as everyone is coming in and buying the desserts, and this was her choice again. Maybe hold some back until the reserved diners are finished. Thanks
