We’re located on Kaua'i's sunny South Shore, in Old Koloa Town. From Lihu‘e, take Highway 50 heading south. Turn left onto Maluhia Road (Tree Tunnel), then turn left onto Koloa Road.
La Spezia Restaurant and Wine Bar is a quarter mile down the road, directly across from the Koloa Post Office and adjacent to Big Save.

We are a small, family run Italian restaurant who prides itself on the dishes we prepare for our guests in our small kitchen. It is for this reason that we can only accomodate parties up to 8 people. Oh my word!!! The WHOLE EXPERIENCE was AMAZING!!!!
We did reserve online cause we read it would be difficult to get in if you didn’t! We did our homework and glad we did!
The food was FAVULOUS, and a shout out for the braised baby asparagus!! Best I’ve ever tasted!
Cathy was our waitress and just sooo helpful and kind and worked with out crazy, specific dinner menus! An automatic 10+ for her and the others who seated us and served us!
We will DEFINITELY return when we come to Koloa again!!

We loved La Spezia! We shared the house salad, Nonna's lasagna arrabiata and cheesecake. The food was enough for the two of us and it was excellent. We liked the focaccia so much that we asked for another serving. The food came fast. Our waitress recommended a glass of red wine that my husband really liked. We can't think of anything that needs improvement. Thank you!

We eat here frequently and always enjoy every morsel. We have, in the past, been warned off the calamari. On this visit, one of our guests ordered the calamari and I thought nothing of it...until I had some. It is the ONLY thing I have ever had a La Spezia that I did not enjoy, it was actually fishy and horrible. I'm sorry to say anything bad as I really love this place. I wish I could have given a 9.5 for food, I really didn't want to drop the the food rating.

I highly recommend La Spezia. It’s my favorite restaurant on island and the best Italian food I’ve had anywhere (outside of Italy perhaps). While they may be able to accommodate walk-ins, I suggest you make a reservation. Bon appetit!

We have been wanting to try this Italian Restaurant in Koloa for several years. We have heard so many positive comments. We finally had dinner there and the entire meal was wonderful! Charming restaurant! Food was fresh and delicious. Service was great! Portion sizes are generous. We have plenty of leftovers. A “MUST DO!”
Suggestion: Open the bar around 4:30, so guests with 5:00 dinner reservations can enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine before getting seated at the dinner table. Rather than waiting on the porch. We would have loved that, and it would be another revenue maker for the restaurant.

Wow! What an incredible evening! The food we had (the beef rib ravioli and the chicken pancetta linguini Alfredo) were absolutely flawless! The portions are huge and the service (Hi and thank you Jimmy) was attentive and knowledgeable without ever being intrusive.
This is a must do when on Kauai!

Absolutely amazing food, delicious. Staff are wonderful and knowledgeable about menu items, loved the olives, fried zucchini, mozzarella apps, spicy nonna sauce incredible, veal tender, wonderful sauce, eggplant parm , lasanga. We think best meal we had, ate twice everytime we visit!
