We’re located on Kaua'i's sunny South Shore, in Old Koloa Town. From Lihu‘e, take Highway 50 heading south. Turn left onto Maluhia Road (Tree Tunnel), then turn left onto Koloa Road.
La Spezia Restaurant and Wine Bar is a quarter mile down the road, directly across from the Koloa Post Office and adjacent to Big Save.

I’d eat there every night if I could afford to eat out every note on Kauai! Love it! We have been coming to La Spezia since they opened and always enjoy our dinner experience, from appetizers - dessert. We always enjoy the Mozzarella Fresca appetizer and our entrees tonight were the Short Rib Ravioli and the Fettuccini Calabrese which were delicious. We then shared the Panna Cotta for dessert. We wish they would still have breakfasts, but the shortage of help on the island prevents that from happening for now.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal last night. Atmosphere was great. We love the historic building and Koloa town. The over a page of Italian Wines made me smile. We enjoyed a delicious Piancornello Brunello. The food was as great as our previous experiences at La Spezia over the last 10 years. We had fresh baked focaccia, shared a delicious and ample house salad with just the right blend of flavors, and the mains were local caught fresh Mongchong and linguini Calabrese. Portions were ample. Our server Ryan was friendly and knowledgable. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert! But . . . we'll be back another night!

It had been 8 years since we had been back to La Spezia, the wonderful woman previous owner had retired, moved to Italy and sold business. Everything was just as we remember it. Exceptional & Great! We will be back hopefully sooner than later. Mahalo

We had a wonderful meal at La Spezia. It has a casual neighborhood vibe that felt comfortable. We started with the antipasto which was generously portioned with multiple items for tasting and enjoying. We split a Caesar salad (delicious). We both had pasta (the sausage and truffle & spicy spaghetti with meatballs). Both dishes were delicious. I’d order them again. We asked for a wine recommendation and it was perfect for our taste. We were too full to consider the desserts but several sounded tempting. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We appreciated his relaxed personality and sense of humor. If I could make a small suggestion (not a complaint), it would be for us, less frequent checks about how we were doing would be appreciated. We tend to be slow diners who enjoy savoring special meals. This definitely was one for us. I highly recommend this restaurant for excellent Italian food.

Had such a great time celebrating our anniversary at La Spezia! The portions were surprisingly large for a fine Italian restaurant as we find the higher the price, the smaller the portions. That was definitely not the case here and we will definitely be visiting again the next time we are in Kauai!!

Always a favorite to have dinner. Food is delicious and pasta dishes are always prepared to perfection. They can get very busy which impacts the staff's ability which impacts their attentiveness. A must visit.
