Frequently Asked Questions- Do you do a Sunday Roast?
- Yes we do. We always advise that you pre order. We offer a fairly unique experience during the cooler months, in that we cook joints of meat specifically for you. Normally for 2 or 3 people to share at the table. Its best you look at our menu online, decide on your joint and give us a call. Larger tables work well with several types of joint that everyone can share. Its a lovely experience, relaxed...as a sunday should be.

We have stayed ay the New Flying Horse Inn on many occasions over the years since family members moved to the area. We have just returned from a 4 night break and found everything to be excellent. It is very dog friendly (we would have to stay somewhere else if it wasn't), the various breakfasts, evening meal and family Sunday lunch we had were top rate. All members of staff are extremely friendly and, although we didn't need any assistance, we are confident that any problem would have been solved promptly.
The weather was vile during our time there yet we were warm and cosy in our room in the stable block.
Of course we always look forward to seeing family, but we always look forward to our time at the New Flying Horse as well.

Cooking and presentation was excellent. Staff were always alert to when plates were to be cleared and the arrival of the next one was very prompt. Background music was not intrusive. Having been asked on the booking form whether an occasion was being celebrated I wondered what we might expect. I was glad no mention was made of it but then wondered why the question was asked.

We loved everything about our short stay at the New Flying Horse. The room was clean and comfortable with some thoughtful snacks. The food ( dinner and breakfast) was superb and plentiful. I booked The Flying Horse in Wye for my husband's 75th birthday.
We were not disappointed. Friendly and welcoming service from the minute we walked through the door. My husband chose the mussels as a main and although it was a huge bowl, he struggled manfully through, eating every last one, declaring that they were better than he had ever had in France! I had the fish and chips, which was equally delicious but, thankfully not quite as large! I chose to have the trio of locally made ice creams and before I could even ask we were offered 2 spoons. This was just as well, as they were very filling and I was grudgingly happy to share with said birthday husband. We will definitely be back!

We had another fantastic meal at The Flying Horse. We sat outside with an umbrella put up for shade for us. The food was delicious and great value and there is a lovely positive atmosphere there created by the staff. It's great to have the option of main meals or snacks at lunchtime. We have been to The New Flying Horse on 3/4 occasions and have always found the food to be excellent. Without a doubt the best Sunday roast for miles and very good value
The extra little touches sets it aside from other places, such s the tea cakes in the cup when ordering coffee, the little tasters before the mail.
The service and friendless of the team is excellent and cannot fault them.

This was a first visit and we shall most definitely return. We were impressed with small portions of amuse-bouche to accompany our drinks and between first and main course. Small cafetière of coffee at the end for £4 was good value and even came with a tea cake!
Atmosphere was very pleasant and service excellent.

Enjoyed lunch with my 2 daughters after experiencing the Shepherd Neame pub walk from the pub car park. Great 6 mile walk with spectacular views. We sat in the delightful courtyard and had great service on a busy Saturday bank holiday weekend! The little touches such as chilled water served in vintage cut glass decanters and vintage crockery for our teas/coffee with a tea cake were very much appreciated. It was a relaxing experience, plus we enjoyed our food from the lunch menu with great desserts too. I would definitely like to return.

Everything was truly excellent. The wine list is exceptional, with a good selection, well curated and all available by the glass in choice of glass size and reasonably priced. They have high quality suppliers, because my fillet steak and my wife’s pork were superb and perfectly cooked - our dog enjoyed the treats.

Everything was wonderful from the greeting when we arrived,done with a sense of humour.

Stopped here on a business trip. The food was outstanding, I ordered the cheese fondue starter, Porchetta with fresh greens & sautéed potatoes (there was a choice), and finally the lemon posset cheesecake which was absolutely lush. Sophia and Rebecca were extremely friendly and the service was excellent.

It was so good to get freshly cooked food including the vegetables. We get so fed up with other places using commercial suppliers of ready-cooked food to be microwaved before serving.
