We had a wonderful meal at Trails End. Our server, Cat, was excellent. I loved the building and the ambiance, I love seeing Ozark history highlighted. As for the food, the quality and respect for the ingredients really showed. We started with the bread service, and then ordered the Ribeye and flat iron before ending with the fried pie trio. There isn’t much celebrating the Ozarks at the lake, everything is beach or tropical themed which I find disappointing. But Trails End felt like home in the best way possible. Can’t wait to come back!

Our experience at the Tavern At Trail’s and serve to make my birthday even better. We were thrilled that Dana was still behind the bar and she provided lively conversation. Beth also made us feel welcome. My husband and I were thrilled to meet Andon and Michael, two amazing young men. Having reserved spots at the bar is perfect for us and we appreciate y’all doing that for us. We shared two appetizers and the Bolognese. The pork belly skewer was new to us and we both loved it! The dipping sauce was extra extraordinary also. The Korean sticky ribs are always our favorite and they continue to be. The Bolognese was delicious. And we had the small loaf of bread. (Honestly, the bread feature has never been what we consider your strong point, but we think at some point you’ll get there :-)
Thank you again and happy four year anniversary to the Tavern. Your staff is what makes the difference but your food is absolutely extraordinary. One other thing we were expecting, but didn’t see, was some seasonal cocktail options but Dana made a delicious gin martini for me and Wayne enjoyed his buffalo trace. We’re leaving on Tuesday of next week to continue our snowboarding journey and we’ll see you again when we return in the spring. Best wishes for a merry Christmas and thank you, John And Sherri and staff.

This is my favorite restaurant! Couldn’t have been happier when we got there last night and found out they had lamb on the menu as a special. It was excellent and was served with mushroom/goat cheese risotto. It was excellent! Fried green tomato bruschetta and a wedge salad to start and I was in heaven. Met Corey who was the chef that evening…very nice guy and had our favorite server, Bethany, who we always enjoy interacting with. This is our go to restaurant for an excellent meal in a small, quaint atmosphere. They only thing they could do to make the experience better would be to have their lamb on the menu more often!!!

This was our first dining experience at The Tavern at Trails End. We were impressed with the online reservation procedure which was easy to maneuver through. Our waiter was very welcoming and our meal was awesome.
A 20% tip was automatically added to our bill. We probably would have given that amount to our waiter anyway but would have liked to make that decision ourselves. Adding that extra amount was unnecessary with our 3 person group. We would have been fair but were not given that opportunity .

Jessica was our waitress. We have been here a few times, but never tried the Sunday Fried Chicken. It was wonderful! Accompanied by sautéed green beans and oven roasted potatoes .. And the duck fat gravy was the best I have ever had.
Only thing missing was John coming by the table and saying hello.

The hostess was very friendly and sat us immediately, right on time for our reservation. Our waitress, Bethany, was friendly, kind, professional and very attentive. The food was, as always, fantastic. I had the gnocchi as an entree and it was excellent. My husband said his steak very good, as well. I only gave "9"'s on the ambience for the noise.....there was a pretty loud group on the lower floor - made it hard to hear. This is of no fault of the Tavern, I know...... We really enjoy dining here and have been several times.

The bar area is just magnificent, but the dining room is very Puritan. The TV tuned to the lake channel was distracting. The food was so outstanding, we focused on the flavors and not our surroundings.
