Chef Giovanni "Gio" Mauro is the owner of Old School Pizzeria in North Las Vegas, an original pizza concept dedicated to Mauro’s “respect for ingredients” philosophy. No commercial yeast, all natural starters, a commitment to fresh and seasonal menu items, and a focus on strong community ties. With his new restaurant concept, Monzú, he hopes to expand upon that philosophy and present a unique and authentic ITALIAN dining experience to Las Vegas, sharing recipes cultivated from his proud Sicilian heritage and commitment to authenticity. This is a favorite treat when looking for some excellent Italian food and live entertainment on a weekend night. We brought friends to share a nice evening.
Highly recommended. Everything we've ever tried on the menu is fantastic with a particular nod to the most succulent dish ever: their Crespelle al forno - essentially a lasagna that melts in your mouth like a souffle.

What a gem! From the greeting to the food to the goodbye, this was a first class meal. Having traveled extensively across Italy, this is the most authentic food I have had outside of the Italian countryside. Neighborhood gem. For those of you staying on the strip, do yourself a favor. Drive or take a ride service a short distance west on Flamingo (corner of Flamingo and Jones) to Monzu. It is a great family restaurant without the high strip dining prices. This restaurant serves cocktails and has a very nice wine list.

The decor strikes just the right note between authentic Italian charm and modern sophistication, making it an ideal spot for any occasion.
Exceptional Food Quality
The culinary experience at Monzu is truly remarkable. My wife ordered the Margarita Pizza, which was absolutely perfection on a plate. The crust was expertly crafted with the ideal balance of crispy exterior and tender interior, topped with the freshest ingredients. The san marzano tomatoes, premium mozzarella, and fresh basil created a harmony of flavors that transported us straight to Italy.
I opted for the Veal with Pasta, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The veal was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned, demonstrating the chef's masterful technique and attention to detail. The pasta was cooked to absolute perfection – al dente as it should be – and the sauce complemented the dish beautifully without overpowering the delicate flavors of the veal.

Could not have had a better experience! It was my husband's birthday and from the minute we arrived until the time we left, the staff was so welcoming. The food was OUTSTANDING. Two years ago, we visited Sicily and ever since my husband has been dreaming of the pistachio pesto he had - last night Monzu delivered with their version. The octopus appetizer was the best we ever had - tender accompanied by lemony potatoes. Beet salad was unique and so refreshing on a hot summer day. Our server could not have been more helpful - his suggestions were spot-on. Thank you Monzu for helping us celebrate Eduardo's birthday!

This is such a unique place to eat and to celebrate any occasion. It's fancy without being ostentatious. The service was unbeatable! We had the most wonderful time, and I would suggest this to everyone looking for a delicious meal that will definitely fill you up and you will leave with joy in your heart!

Very welcoming and friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and simply delicious. 10 out of 10 all around. The complementary bread was heavenly. I also appreciated the diverse menu, putting a fresh spin on traditional dishes. Monzú is a title in Sicily given to special chefs and the chef here is indeed that.

I wanted to take my Wife and Morher in-law out for a nice dinner so I went to TikTok and searched for top restaurants in Vegas. After watching a couple videos of Monzu I was sold and let me tell you it was even better than I expected! All the staff were so nice and accommodating, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was phenomenal! I've worked at the Wynn for over 17 years and this was literally the best Italian food I've ever had and my Wife & Mother in-law agreed. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes!! Thank you for making our night so memorable.

Our waiter Lee was fantastic. The food was great. The only item that was a negative, the on line reservation would only allow 4 people not 5. I made the reservation for 4 and tried calling to see if there would be an issue. No one was available to talk too. We arrived at 4 at opening. The gentleman named Gabriel at the entrance was less then courteous when notified of the change in the number of people even though 2 were children. His tone and demeanor were almost combative that he was working on it. When we left half the tables were still empty. He told us we had 2 hours since the change in the number of people in the reservation. He was the negative.

It was my boyfriend’s birthday and this is one of our favorite authentic restaurants we love. From the minute we walk into the door you are greeted by the staff. The cocktails are amazing the bread with the riccota cheese delicious and the food is absolutely phenomenal paired with the right wine. Great great experience every time. Staff follows up very friendly and well trained staff. The ambience never disappoints. I personally love everything about this place.
