Located inside Bar Masa, Shaboo is an intimate dining area that offers the traditional omakase dining experience that has made Chef Masayoshi Takayama famous the world over. Omakase roughly translates into “it’s up to you,” meaning the chef picks each meal for you. Each table includes four “hot pot” cookers (also known as shabu-shaubu cookers). This allows guests to cook portions of meat and vegetables in pots of boiling water, right at their table. Contrasting sharply with the atmosphere of Bar Masa, Shaboo provides an intimate setting that is sure to make this restaurant as famous as its sister restaurant in New York.
