Prawn cocktail starter really enjoyed followed by BBQ ribs chips and slaw, chips could be served in a bowl so that the BBQ sauce does not moisten them so they remain crisp. Overall a good meal.

Lovely to see the Bottle and Glass at Scothern finally up and running again. Wonderful warm welcome and ambience. Food was delicious portion size a little too generous really but overall would highly recommend.

Absolutely excellent. The staff were perfect and it was lovely to see how well they all interacted with customers and other members of staff alike. Food was excellent, service was excellent, even the locals which they have no control over were welcoming to outsiders. My only minor minor minor, miniscule negatives were i wanted to tip but the bill and card reader was too quickly presented i didn't get chance to increase the amount to tip and a bigger plate to fit the excellent mixed grill on would have been nice. Next time (and there will definitely be a next time) I'll take some cash to tip rather than just a card. I have already recommended it to friends and family and we're already planning our next visit.

We had a very good experience overall. The only feedback is that we found the vegetables service with the roast dinner rather basic and uninteresting !! Also the bread served with the prawn cocktail was very dry - brown would be better !

We really enjoyed our fish & chips and pie & mash the only thing I would say is that our round table was very low and right by the back door of everyone coming and going and chairs not that comfy wouldn't stop us returning but would ask for a different table next time

Friendly environment, good food, good value. Recently refurbished to a good standard, but unfortunately, the new Dining Room door spring has not been set correctly….it slams and bangs loudly every few seconds…an intolerable nuisance. I feel confident it will be fixed before our next visit.
